### 3/5 — Trouble connecting to Apple Health

*2026-04-27, version 4.23.5*

App says it can load steps, sleep, menstruation etc from Apple Health. However, it’s only loading menstruation. The app isn’t requesting to read anything else in the setting page so the request keeps timing out.
Other than that, seems like a good app. I like the custom notifications.

### 3/5 — Papaya 4 weeks in a row

*2026-01-18, version 4.19.0*

I've used this app to track my period for about 2 years now and pay for the subscription. I am now pregnant and have been using the app to track my pregnancy and am somewhat disappointed. I have noticed that some of the information they give is incorrect. And it's honestly so annoying that with every week's size comparison, many of them have been repeats. I am now on week number four of my baby being the size of a papaya. Just seems lazy, especially for something that I pay money for.

### 4/5 — Things you could add

*2025-11-13, version 4.15.1*

Hello! I really like the app, but I think it would be more complete if you could add a widget or if you could traduce it to multiple languages. Thanks!

### 3/5 — Love the concept but the user experience put me off :(

*2025-11-09, version 4.15.1*

I love the solutions part of this app but unfortunately overall it’s too slow and glitchy for me. It was also saying I was in the incorrect phase and the edit tool was being really slow to update.

### 2/5 — The sliders for symptoms are glitchy

*2025-11-06, version 4.15.1*

The sliders to report symptoms have been glitchy and very difficult to move after recent updates, it makes the feature unusable

### 3/5 — Why make up random terms for cycle phases??

*2025-10-14, version 4.13.0*

My one complaint about this app is that, instead of using correct terminology for your cycle phase it uses its own made up words like “rise” and “shift”. This is silly and unhelpful, just tell me when I’m ovulating 🙄 otherwise yeah it’s fine for tracking and predicting your period.

### 2/5 — (Fixed!) BUG after update

*2025-10-13, version 4.13.0*

The sliders to report symptoms have been glitchy and very difficult to move after recent updates

Editing to say the newest update seems to have fixed it

### 2/5 — Constantly asked to subscribe

*2025-09-28, version 4.12.0*

I’ve used this for a long time with no problems. Basically just used for tracking. Until recently every time you open the app and click on anything in the app you are asked to subscribe. It’s annoying.

### 3/5 — Would be nice if…

*2025-08-29, version 4.11.0*

There was the option to track both periods and perimenopausal stages, and not be forced to just choose one.

### 2/5 — Probably great if you pay a ton

*2025-08-16, version 4.11.0*

I used this app for over a year but I’m switching to something (anything) else. Your experience will likely be different if you pay for the free version which lends to my first dislike. First, the cost for the subscription is exorbitant compared to other apps for similar purposes. Second, the free version has constant pay walls. Every thing you click on asks you to buy a subscription. A recent change is that to log symptoms it tells you to pay, if you X out it will tell you your data will not be saved. You’re stuck. Turns out it actually does save your data even though it says it doesn’t. I’m tired of being told to pay. Like others, I hate that it’s not the correct terminology. The scale for logging symptoms is confusing. Low and high are not good indicators to describe a many symptoms. Lastly, in the spirit of what this app says constantly, every woman is very different. Therefore, I find it distasteful that the free version does not let you add/remove/adjust symptoms that apply to me. I’m limited to only what the developers decided are common symptoms.

### 2/5 — Was great until subscription became a requirement

*2025-08-04, version 4.11.0*

I used to be able to log my mind/body symptoms but now when I try I get the subscription pop up.

### 3/5 — Used to be better

*2025-07-31, version 4.11.0*

Used to be better and much more user friendly but now it seems they just want you to accidentally click on purchasing a subscription at every single chance they can. Can’t even save my logs all of a sudden and I only use it during my period

### 3/5 — Decent app but could be much more educational and beneficial

*2025-07-10, version 4.8.1*

Have to agree with the reviewer I saw initially about the weekly cycle names and periods being referred to as “bleed“ I think as adults it’s just best if we use the correct terminology because most of us don’t know. I grew up, not knowing what the luteal phase is, follicular, and ovulation even was and I feel like removing the words was a step backwards by not calling things exactly as they are to ultimately destigmatize our bodies. We don’t need nicknames or symbolic descriptions about what our cycles are called.

It’s probably not gonna happen but changing the names of the cycles and reinforcing scientific terminology would really set this app apart and solidify the experience. You can’t even read an insight without your period being referred to as “Your Bleed” and I think just the more that you have to read and see the words it gets a bit irritating (no offense). I totally understand the name of the app and why it was named that but as far as the nitty-gritty of why people download this app which is to learn about our bodies and our cycle, along with our hormones: Terminology + scientific descriptions go a long way in educating girls who are not taught this from their mother’s or their grandmother’s or any woman in their life.

### 3/5 — Partner view?

*2025-07-09, version 4.8.1*

The app seems promising. I like that you are able to customize certain symptoms that are relevant to yourself. A big miss for me is not having a partner view. Like so many other apps that have integrated a partner view, it is helpful for your partner to be able to track your cycle and have insights on where in your cycle you are and how they can better support your mood. Sometimes it can feel lonely to track your mood and not have the support of your partner where they can understand your cycle. Is this something that will be available soon?

### 3/5 — Helpful but confusing

*2025-06-25, version 4.8.1*

I like the app but How does the log scoring system work? It's very vague and confusing.
For example - mood
Is "low" good or bad?
Is "high" better or worse?
I can't seem to find anything that discusses how you should score.

### 2/5 — Great app but glitching badly

*2025-05-31, version 4.7.0*

I love this app and it pains me to give it 2 stars but it’s only because I can’t edit my period and it magically made my bleed only 2 days long?? Yeah I wish lol girl!!! Please help! I love how helpful this app is when it’s accurate but it’s not helpful if it won’t allow me to put in the correct data. Great app!!! Please fix 🥲

### 3/5 — please fix terminology

*2025-02-26, version 4.1.0*

Or make it clearer. I’ve used this app for about 4-5 years now, starting at 20. I feel like I have to re-teach myself every time what “bleed/rise/shift/reflect” are when it comes to correct terminology. I struggle to explain to doctors the phases of my cycle because of this flowery language. I’ve found reading the articles attached help because it’s usually noted, but I’m really starting to consider moving to a new app so I can talk more confidently about each phase and feel like I know my cycle in terms that the rest of the world understands. 2 years ago, someone left a similar review and while I don’t think it’s because you guys are trying to censor what a period is- I do think an app that is educational, as much as it is helpful emotionally - is important. I’m older now and while moody has been a godsend for understanding my emotions across my period (especially dealing with PMDD) - I realize that there’s a gap of knowledge in proper naming being at least mentioned within the app without having to click for it. If I try to look up information about a phase, looking up “what foods should I eat during my reflect phase” on the internet doesn’t really help. Let the proper names be easily accessible and seen.

Overall: I have used this app for 5 years. That speaks for itself. I’ve found it helpful and supportive, but lacking in this one department that as I learn more - I find it’s a bigger letdown that it’s not easily included/seen. Also, the fact that someone made a comment on this 2 years ago and I’m here commenting about the same thing is concerning.

This app is helpful, especially if you’re a young adult dealing with emotional periods. But might not be for the long haul if you want to understand your periods on a base level.

### 4/5 — Great but missing this

*2025-02-15, version 4.0.0*

Love the app but I need to export this data for my gyno. Doesn’t appear to be an option. I’m working on solving my issues and you need to bring in partners to help resolve things sometimes…

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Pretty, But Dysfunctional

*2026-06-09, version 5.1.0*

The design is all looks and zero functionality. The user interface is unsettling (does grey mean an item is selected or is it white? whatever you’ve guessed, you’re wrong) You want to manually update your personal calendar? Good luck getting it to save your changes because app developers could not care less about what you want. You want to record a month where you missed your period? Ew no, what is wrong with you? Why would that ever need to be an option? I’m guessing this app was created by men who never listen to anything a woman says and who dismiss all constructive criticism by blaming it on PMS. Otherwise there is just no explaining how bad this app is. I give up.

### 1/5 — Reached its goal of making me MOODY

*2026-04-12, version 4.23.3*

This is the only app that has ever given me the results it promised. I was serene and mentally stable before, but thanks to this app, now I'm MOODY. I couldn't simply open the app and quickly check if I'm ovulating. No! I had to solve a riddle and figure out a color palette that was multiple shades of IKEA green. I just want an app that tells me if I'm ovulating or if I'm about to be on my period. I'm not in "shift" or "reflect." I want precise language with contrasting colors. I don't want to have to talk to The Riddler.

### 1/5 — Latest update

*2025-12-14, version 4.18.0*

Been using this app for years, although I have never liked the name of the app, I have found the information and planner on the free version very useful. Disappointingly with the latest update, the period prediction dates only go so far into the future and now if wanting to see this functionality the app is asking to pay a subscription fee. Shame on you developers for trying to exploit money on the basic planning needs on the personal female cycle!!

### 1/5 — Unable to use anymore

*2025-08-25, version 4.11.0*

Used to be able to log symptoms but now you are unable to save because of a subscription pop up. No notice of the change. Before you download it know there is no free option anymore.

### 1/5 — Cycle names

*2025-07-18, version 4.9.0*

The reason for the low rating is because you don’t use common names for each cycle or phase such as luteal. This makes it harder to know which phase I’m in and literally adds more work to my life having to figure it out every time.

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2025-03-13, version 4.2.0*

I am still ovulating but Moody erased my February data and my March data. Changing my March period (which is supposed to be 23-27) to 11-17. Apparently today is supposed to be the third day of my period. 😒 ugh.

### 1/5 — It Won’t Track Moods Until You Pay

*2024-09-28, version 3.71.0*

There is no free version of the app because the moment you try to track your moods after setting it up, unless you’re subscribed, it won’t let you. You HAVE to subscribe or else the app is useless. The main purpose of even downloading a “Mood” app is to track your moods and you can’t actually get that unless you’re subscribed.

### 1/5 — 0 stars, it’s a monthly subscription

*2024-07-16, version 3.67.0*

They make you fill out all of your information without mentioning that a subscription is required until you are done. They should have mentioned it at the start so I didn’t waste my time. Uninstalled.

### 1/5 — BEWARE

*2024-04-24, version 3.62.0*

Although I have deleted this app from all devices, I still have it on my phone and receive daily messages from Moody. No one has responded from the company to give me advice on how to remove their app completely. Should I be concerned that this is a maleware? My hunch is, yes.

### 1/5 — Worthless

*2024-04-01, version 3.59.1*

I tried setting up the app to see what all it offered and I accidentally subscribed for the year. $40??? There are a ton of free apps that do more. Plus I couldn’t get my money back.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Better understanding

*2026-04-25, version 4.23.5*

Thanks to the app I’ve come to better understand my cycle, and everything tha is linked to it (my mood changes, etc) which has been super helpful!

### 5/5 — Problem with iPhone SE

*2025-09-20, version 4.11.0*

Stoped working with se

### 5/5 — Best cycle tracking app I’ve tried

*2025-05-20, version 4.6.1*

I was originally on Flo and then switched to Clue, but neither app was helping me to truly understand my cycle (at least on the free version). This app has been the best that I have tried as it really helps me to understand why I’m feeling the way I am at any particular point in my cycle, which usually makes me feel much better as I can stop beating myself up for being feeling less productive or more irritable for example! Can’t recommend enough :)

### 5/5 — I love it

*2025-03-15, version 4.3.0*

It is always so accurate and makes me feel like feeling the emotions I have are normal. Just checking in once a day has helped me so much and it always gives amazing advice ❤️

### 5/5 — Amazing app

*2025-03-01, version 4.1.0*

This app really helps me everyday to know myself and my body better. I’ve been using it for two years now and I learned so many data about cycle, hormones and patterns. The only thing I would love to reach perfection is a few new programs and new workouts. I really love the teachers and experts on the app. It ‘s really a great app to sync with your body!

### 5/5 — Such helpful information

*2025-02-08, version 3.78.1*

I love this app and have learned so much about my cycle and my body! (But it has spelling errors — hire me to be your proofreader 😅)

### 5/5 — Helps me understand my body!!

*2024-12-04, version 3.76.0*

Moody is such a great app! It’s helped me understand my body and emotions, especially during my period. The insights are super helpful and make tracking everything so easy. Love it!

### 5/5 — Absolutely phenomenal

*2024-10-13, version 3.71.0*

I love this app so so much! It is so helpful in understanding my body throughout the months and really accurate as well! The forecast is also amazing I love that it breaks it down into the four phases rather then just bleed and ovulation. This app has so many wonderful features and I couldn't recommend it more

### 5/5 — Love love

*2024-09-25, version 3.71.0*

I love this app! I don’t use a lot of the functions but it always helps me to do the check in and learn about my needs and ways I can support myself on specific days of my cycle. Thanks for creating such an awesome app :)

### 5/5 — So so so helpful.

*2024-04-13, version 3.60.0*

I’m in my 30s and have just gotten off hormonal birth control after being on it for 12 years - I wanted to for health reasons and to just let my body do its natural thing. As my body regulates, I found I wanted to be able to track and understand my body more. This app is organized, educational, uplifting, validating and all the things I never knew I needed. I’m experiencing phases that I never really knew about or understood fully (especially going through my cycles naturally now) and I feel so much more in tune with my body. The creators of this app really put in so much work and time into curating an experience for their users that is personal and ACTUALLY helpful. Hands down favorite app of 2024, well done guys! 🙏🏼
