## What is Moon Child?

MOON CHILD

Moon Child brings you back to the golden age of platform games, with detailed, hand-crafted pixel artwork, old school 3D animations, a stomping retro-techno soundtrack and silky-smooth scrolling.

Guide Moon Child, a little green elf with magical mental and physical powers, on his quest to save the planet Utopia from an evil techno-virus, spread by a crashed meteor.

Control Moon Child using a unique approach called Elastimotion. Your fingers will no longer miss on-screen buttons, the Elastimotion control establishes a flexible line that connects your finger with the main character. Moving your finger to the right will make Moon Child run to the right, moving your finger up will cause him to jump, etcetera. You will discover that the Elastimotion control is the most natural way of playing a platform game you've experienced on a touchscreen device.

View the included demo sequence for an introduction to the game. The aim of the game is to collect at least 77 of the 84 Dark Diamonds that are spread throughout the various levels. Then you will be able to enter the psychedelic final world, where you need the Dark Diamonds to destroy the abstract heart of the techno-virus.

Moon Child requires an iPad 1 (or higher) or an iPhone 4 (or higher) with iOS version 5 (or higher) to run.

### 1/5 — 32bit

*2017-12-30, version 1.1*

Apple announced all apps should be 64bit back in 2014 so not sure why this app is still 32bit 3 years later.

### 5/5 — Nice pixel art

*2016-10-10, version 1.1*

I really like the pixel art and things like the dissolve and reform pixel animations when you die.

### 3/5 — Control options

*2015-02-07*

I really like this game as a child and I still like it now. This game is pretty much an exact duplicate of the PC version from my childhood. The only thing I don't like is the control options. The on screen toggle just seems in the way and the other method often doesn't let you move right to the edge of the screen. I have a Bluetooth keyboard for my iPad and I wish there was an option to use the arrow keys on the keyboard as a control instead.

### 3/5 — Fun/needs work

*2013-08-20*

To the Dev's: I seriously hope you don't give up on this game because it has the potential to be a super fun one! In my opinion, the only thing that's frustratingly quirky is the controls. The graphics are pretty good, the game concept is fun and its challenging enough without being too difficult. If you update the controls I think you have the recipe for a fantastic game. I for one will return to give you the rating this game deserves. Thank you :-) ~Shine~ from WA, State

### 5/5 — I love the game

*2012-05-06*

Hi

### 4/5 — Control method needs refining

*2012-03-18, version 1.0*

Massively slick game with great music from the mighty Ramon. This is as slick as all the original demos (for those that know - Mindscape is simply brilliant) with a very definitive graphical style.

Could be a really nice platformer without too much fuss if it wasn't for the control method. Your hand is in the way of the action too much and it lacks precision. Essentially a good idea but it just doesn't translate well enough to the action. You die very easily when not quite making jumps and so forth.

Get the control mech working better with maybe a couple of alternatives (such as on screen joypad, swipe etc) and this will be a stocking game.

### 5/5 — Love it!

*2012-02-23*

Just brilliant! The navigation is great, looks brilliant and amazing gameplay!
