At a glance I could see what phase it was in and how close it was to being full-that’s all I really wanted. Over the years many features were added, then taken away-unless you subscribed. The latest update disappeared the moon image completely. Yes, I initially got this app for free, and never felt the need for an upgrade; but now it no longer serves a purpose for me. Sadly, I’m deleting this and will now find different moon app. **Developer response:** Oh my goodness! The moon image is certainly still there. I have not removed it at all, in fact I have improved it recently to be so detailed and pretty as to include shadows cast from the actual craters on the moon. That doesn't help if you can't see it though! It is a very popular feature. Please DO contact me through the "Contact Us" option inside the app - visit the Settings tab, About, and click Contact us. I do reply to all mails I get, it is important because if you are having an issue, I know about it and I can fix it for other people who I won't know about. I can't fix things in the review section here because I don't know any of the details about your device or the version of the app you are running. Merci ### 1/5 — App publisher is a con artist. *2024-10-08, version 7.4.0* This app maker had an identical app that had a one time fee. I bought it. Recently I had to reinstall my phone. When I did I found the app had been deleted from the App Store by the publisher. This means I can’t reinstall it, so I’ve lost the money I paid for it. The replacement app, slightly different name, made by the same publisher is exactly the same except requires a subscription. But they didn’t say that half the info on the screen now is now hidden without ‘unlocking’. What a con. It’s this sort of behaviour that generates distrust in installing any updates in any app. Previous: Response to developer comments 2: Your privacy policy doesn’t address any of my points whatsoever. To repeat myself: 1. This app was installed on a brand new iphone, weeks old, all cookies are turned off in my settings, an ad blocker is installed and advertising profiles reset to prevent profiling. I don’t use Facebook or any other social media. 2. I do not visit adult websites on this phone, previous phone, or any other device, or use any such app, not least of the kind advertised. Given the nature of the ad, for you to continue to suggest this rather than concede that there being an issue on the advertising end is downright insulting. 3. I repeated the nature of the offending ad here only in the hope you might recognise the offensive nature of it, take the complaint seriously, and take steps to investigate the issue so it doesn’t recur. You mention the inappropriateness of discussing the content of the ad here: as I have a young child interested in astronomy and we sometimes look at astronomy apps together, you can also perhaps understand why I am upset that an X rated ad popped up on YOUR app that my child almost saw, that you now seem to refuse to take responsibility for. Can you now finally take steps to check with advertising providers how this can happen and ensure it is not repeated, whether for me or any other unwitting user? Response to developer comments 1: What you say cannot be the explanation, as I installed this app on a brand new iPhone, which has *never* been used to access any “adult” material whatsoever. That I can state categorically. And before you suggest it, no-one else has access to my phone. Besides which, the offending advert is to find “mature women” to “lay”, not something I have looked up on any platform in my entire life! ——- Ok, it gives some basic info, but a rather mediocre app compared to the others on offer. Watch out for the full screen ads that are inflicted on you when you touch another tab....now showing ads for an ‘adult’ site, so not a family friendly app... **Developer response:** Hi, I do need to clarify the point here on advertising. The app currently uses Google Admob to provide advertising. Admob provides "interest based" advertising which means the advertising you see is based on your interests and demographics. It is based on the types of websites you visit and other apps on your device. I've never seen adult advertising and children will certainly never, ever see adult advertising. Indeed this app is used in many schools around the world for education purposes. Please do see my privacy policy for links and more details on the advertising displayed. I have chosen this advertising provider for good reason and have turned down many other more lucrative offers for reasons that they couldn't guarantee this privacy. The months are dictated by the faithful witness in the sky-the moon.(psalm 89) Our gregorian calendar is seasonal, seasonal calendars do not align with strictly lunar calendars.
