MATH-BASED & PRIVATE 
Moondot models the moon using standard astronomical algorithms right on your device. Because it runs on pure math, it works completely offline. There is no internet connection, no tracking, and absolutely no data collection. Just you and the moon. Location is used only to provide moon position, moonrise, and moonset estimates for your area.

Fixed a bug where a moon event, like a full moon, may appear two days in a row. Strictly speaking, moon events like this last only for a split second. It'll be the full moon at, for example, 3:45 am in your timezone. But this app, and most lunar calendars, will report that the event happens all day. ”Today is a full moon“ is more fun than ”This minute is a full moon.” Anyway. Enjoy this informational bug fix.

New Lock Screen widgets give you glanceable moon phase information. Choose from a small circular moon phase widget or a data-rich rectangular widget. 

The Medium Home Screen widget now lets you know where the moon is in the sky. When the moon is below the horizon, it tells you when the next moonrise will be.
