Connectivity issues is my main thing for me, wouldn’t recommend with bad WiFi. Hopefully it would get better. When using the windows implementation of Moonlight, I am able to connect using my touch-screen laptop, and touch events execute correctly on the host system. In this iOS implementation, it appears that instead of sending proper touch input to the host, the mouse cursor is moved to the touched position and a left click is executed. When tapping multiple buttons too close together/too quickly, clicks can end up being executed before the cursor gets moved to its new location causing a misinput. This difference in behaviour means that games I can play over moonlight using my laptop’s touchscreen are basically not playable in touchscreen mode with this current implementation of moonlight. And many of the reviews show that the iOS version is not maintained to the point where features on other versions have not made it over, my main complaint, is the geriatric on screen controls that you can’t even customize. At this point just use steam link, much better controls, games have custom controls themselves, and you can still customize them. The performance is clearly better than any alternative remote streaming option and controller support is great. As it stands this app DOES NOT WORK when using stage manager on an external monitor at 16:9 resolution. I bought an iPad specifically assuming I could use sunshine and moonlight but this app is worse than steam remote link in that regard. Install Sunshine (from Lizardbyte) on PC. Connect to sunshine on pc using moonlight. Congrats, you can now stream your PC, steam, games, anything from your iPad. I play my steam games in my bed so I don’t have to buy them on Apple Store again since I own on steam.
