Tired, but wide awake in bed? Stop trying to sleep. Just listen. Moonody is built on a simple idea: a sound you only hear in bed becomes a cue for sleep. Every night, one tap plays your Sleep Signal, then calm music until morning. Night after night, your brain links that sound with sleep. HOW IT WORKS • Tap Go to Sleep in bed. Your Sleep Signal plays and the screen turns dark and calm. • Tonight's music starts right after the Signal, through Spotify, Apple Music or music made for Moonody. • Smart Fade lowers the volume gradually over the time you choose. • One question when you wake up: how long did it take you to fall asleep? BUILT AROUND A HABIT • Nights come in cycles of seven. Same sound, same time, a stronger link. • Bedtime reminders help you keep the same time each night. • Your Journal shows your bedtime, your wake-up time, how long you took to fall asleep and your streak. • The Signal only plays in bed, so it only ever means one thing: sleep. FREE WITH SPOTIFY PREMIUM OR APPLE MUSIC If you have Spotify Premium or an Apple Music subscription, Moonody is free: your music plays through your own account. No Spotify or Apple Music? Moonody Plus unlocks music made for Moonody and your full Journal. A CALMER END TO YOUR DAY Phone down. Lights off. Moonody keeps everything simple, dark and quiet, so the last thing you see before sleep isn't a busy screen. Moonody is not a medical treatment. If you have trouble sleeping most nights, talk to a doctor. MOONODY PLUS Free with Spotify Premium or Apple Music. This is a simple app, and some of the core functionality (playlist creation) is blocked by a paywall. It also seems very sneaky, once a user presses the add playlist button, the in app purchase prompt appears without any warning that there is a purchase ahead. I don’t like the motive behind the app. If people pay for such limited functionality then that’s great for you, I just don’t think it’s right. If you provided a donate button rather than the sneaky paywall, I would have considered contributing. — Update — I do develop in swift for iOS, I respect the work you did on this project and I’m not trying to say the functional implementation is poor, I’m sure the app serves its purpose well. The reason for my criticism is solely in the paywall, I understand that your work is valuable and probably would have donated to you had I been given the option to use the app and make a judgement from there, or had at least seen a $0.99 label on the app in the first place. It doesn’t make sense to me that the app is free, but the main functionality of the app is behind a paywall, hence my review. I’m not trying to make life terrible or miserable, I don’t have anything against you - I just don’t agree with the monetization strategy employed by your app and wish to inform others that some of the core functionality cannot be accessed without first spending money since it’s shown that this is a free app. **Developer response:** No, you didn't understand a thing about my app. Are you a developer? You are saying that it's a simple app, but you don't have a clue about my work to get it done. I created this app because I was really annoyed by seeing just 5 or 10 songs from an artist. I was a user of rdio, and I was accustomed to searching for an artist and let all their songs play by popularity order. That's what my app is about. If you don't want to pay $0.99 for my work, please, find something free elsewhere. I didn't intend to create "sneaky" buttons or anything like that. There is an Apple paywall first, so NO ONE will buy it because it's "sneaky." Users (people) like you make life miserable. Terrible. ### 5/5 — Love Music *2021-01-29* Thank you **Developer response:** Thank you Denise and Friends ❤️ Hope you enjoy it. ## Frequently asked questions about Moonody for Spotify ### How does Moonody help me fall asleep?
