There was nothing in the app to tell me what had happened, so I had to contact support just to find out why I could no longer use my account. I was eventually told they couldn't provide any further information due to compliance requirements. I understand that compliance checks are necessary, but that doesn't excuse the complete lack of communication. Customers should at least be told what's happening and what they can expect next. The app itself was rubbish. It gave no indication that my account had been suspended or why I couldn't use it, leaving me to chase support for answers. Customer support was equally poor. Responses were slow, generic and didn't answer my questions. Having your account suspended after transferring funds, with no warning, no explanation in the app and no meaningful communication, is a terrible customer experience. Based on my experience, even if I could, I won't be using MoonPay again. ### 1/5 — Trash *2026-07-23, version 2.0.48* If I could give zero stars I would without a doubt. I’ve had the worst experience with trying to buy and transfer crypto through this app. $150 worth of my hard earned money was in limbo for 3 days as I tried to navigate their abysmal support system. You will not speak with a human representative. You will have to solve your problem with AI. I ended up resolving the issue but I recommend cashapp for your bitcoin transfer needs. I no longer see assets I would buy or check up on(USDT Tron) . MoonPay has never given any problems until now what happened? Then my account was restricted for an unknown reason. I requested a review only to be told a violation of ToS!? What does that mean? How can someone violate the ToS when you simply buy BTC and then transfer it to a wallet? I used Exodus. That’s not fraudulent nor uncommon. I would not recommend to anyone to waste their time with Moonpay. They are a 3rd party app that relies on other apps. Soon everyone using it will see this and use stand alone apps. By doing so you take business from moonpay and it will save you money. No need to bounce between apps. If you accidentally or unknowingly violate their terms of service, they will permanently deactivate your account and will not tell you what you did wrong. I have already gotten 3 of my friends to stop using moonpay. Anyway I listen and I did and told me to install my debit card and I did, to my surprise I got tons of charges without my permission and promised for refund after they took all my money. Want me to download PayPal so that they can refund me through PayPal. I said no , if you took out from my bank card you can do refund me through there. I had to close that account.
