## What is Moonwater?

Moonwater shows the tide for your current location the moment you open it, in a smooth, beautiful chart.

• Automatic location, or search any coastal place in the world
• Scrollable sea-level chart with the current height, the next high and low water, and whether the tide is rising or falling
• Scrub through the chart to read the height at any moment
• Home-screen widget for your last viewed location
• Available in Dutch, English, German, and French

Tide and sea-level data come from Open-Meteo (MeteoFrance SMOC model).

Note: Moonwater is for general information only and is not suitable for navigation. It does not replace an official tide table or nautical almanac.

### 1.0.3 — 2026-08-30

New: surf conditions! Alongside the tide you now also see swell period, wind (with direction) and whether it is offshore or onshore — handy for checking if the surf is good.

Improved: when a high and low water fall very close together, Moonwater now shows the most relevant point (the lowest low or highest high) instead of a small in-between ripple.
