### 2/5 — No sample use

*2026-05-03*

The program does not allow sample use.

### 2/5 — Okay But Needs Work

*2026-04-10*

There are three main things holding this app back:
1. Hallucinations/Wrong Details: The debate council hallucinates or gets things wrong ALOT. For instance: I recently asked it about a ongoing issue with a friend, and the council repeatedly stated that the friend felt uncomfortable and would have said a certain phrase if they felt that way, despite me a) never stating that the friend felt uncomfortable and b) stating that the friend stated they felt could not say that certain phrase.
2. The Inquisitor is the Worst: Before the debate, a character known as the Inquisitor is supposed to ask for further details for the council, but it just ends up asking questions that have already been clarified in the original text, causing the council to overvalue those pieces of evidence and completely ignore some evidence that’s in the original text.
3. The Price: I would consider paying the subscription price if the above two issues were fixed, but with those issues present currently, it’s not worth the cost.

### 2/5 — Misleading

*2026-03-30*

The app said you get 3 free days then it would NOTIFY of a trial ending and allow you to continue for payment. This did not happen. I was not notified, and they debited my account. As soon as I noticed, I reached out to completely cancel and get a refund. I have not received any response from them via email of facebook messenger. Seems they are replying to reviews here. So developer- please send me a refund as I canceled after 3 days and attempted to contact you.

### 1/5 — Not free

*2026-03-08*

The app is free to download but you can not utilize any functions unless you pay.

### 1/5 — False advertisement

*2026-03-05*

Well these people trick you by advertising a free trial but charge 39.99 days later..not 3 pounds something as it says stay away use free ai apps

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work for me

*2026-02-21*

Good idea and I’d love to try it but it doesn’t work for me. Messages won’t send. I’ve tried everything except paying for the subscription as I would like to test it out first. I can’t tell if this is why it doesn’t work as it doesn’t tell me

### 1/5 — Paywall

*2026-02-17*

Have to pay just to even use the app well when advertised stated as free? Come on thats ridiculous

### 1/5 — Financially Predatory

*2026-02-14, version 1.3.0*

Free to download, but inaccessible unless you agree to a free trial after which it’s $40 a year.

### 1/5 — No shot

*2026-02-12*

I was eager to try it out but it sends you straight into a free trial, it’s not even a case where you pay for extra features, it starts talking about paying for it before you’ve even tried it which put me off

**Developer response:** Thanks for your feedback! We understand the frustration with the trial approach. We're exploring better ways to let users experience Moot before committing. Your input helps us improve – we appreciate you taking the time to share it.

### 1/5 — Seems to hallucinate a lot

*2026-02-11*

I was trying to get advice in what to do after I finish my CS degree utilizing my previous management experience, it began talking about HVAC systems and what could happen if I didn’t have insurance. And something about building a moat?

**Developer response:** We're really sorry to hear the council went off track with your career question! That's definitely not the experience we want. We're actively improving our AI's accuracy and context handling. Please reach out to support – we'd love to make this right and help you get better results.

### 1/5 — Don’t get this app

*2026-02-07*

Once you sign up there is no option to self cancel your subscription or if there is I couldn’t find it and doubt you’ll be able to either. Eat concept stop the greed though and let people try it for free without stealing their credit card agency out from under them.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Love the app, cost isn’t worth it.

*2026-06-04*

The app is really cool, but I don’t want to pay insane prices to use it. Unfortunate it has to be this way. They were doing a really cool thing with unlocking the different personalities with a few bucks. These AI companies are getting greedy AF.

### 1/5 — Too expensive

*2026-05-11*

A wonderful idea hidden behind unreasonable pricing it’s 3 day free trial doesn’t justify 80 for the year

### 1/5 — Can’t even try!

*2026-04-09*

Why would I even consider paying an £80 subscription or signing up to that subscription without being able to try it. Apps like this could be good but paywalls that stop you before having a play is very off putting. Yes there is a free trial but you still have to subscribe to the £80 subscription. Appreciate you can cancel that at anytime but life happens and people will forget. If you want customers to use your product then give them a truly hassle free way of seeing if your product is for them.

Installed, then immediately deleted.

### 1/5 — Free trial for 0 days…

*2026-04-01*

The concept is interesting but i won’t pay that much without trying first and the 0 days trial is kind of a joke?

### 1/5 — Scam App

*2026-03-29*

They won’t let you do a single thing on the app until you buy their stupid subscription. Just worthless unless you dump money into it, what a joke the devs should eat lead

### 1/5 — Scam

*2026-03-29*

Charged me £40 and i didn’t use it, asked for my money back and got ignored! Will be taking this further!

### 1/5 — Paid only

*2026-03-26*

Might as well just make the app paid for since you can’t use anything unless you make a subscription. Sounded cool on the ad but I’m not paying money for this.

### 1/5 — SCAM - This app is a Scam.

*2026-03-15*

Total scam app, basically leads you down the full path and then AFTER making you sign up with email and password etc it then hits you with a paywall. Its a scam trash app. DO NOT DOWNLOAD

### 1/5 — Paid only

*2026-03-15*

Saw this in an ad and thought it might at least be funny. Was going to give this a try just to experiment but you literally cannot use it without entering into a subscription. And no developer, before you reply, a “free trial” that automatically renews at cost is not an acceptable alternative. Uninstalled rather than subscribe

### 1/5 — Not a free app

*2026-03-11*

It’s free to download the subscription page. No functionality without paying. Don’t waste your time

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2026-06-05*

The one on one chats are the best and especially as time goes on it does very well at back referencing and showing insight into the topics raised.

### 5/5 — One on one is better

*2026-04-14, version 1.4.3*

The council is good, but chatting to them one on is much better! I have been using it as a business coach and it’s great.

### 5/5 — Can I partner with you guys?

*2026-02-04*

Love this app and the idea of it.. would love to push this or help perform better anyway possible I believe this will be a top gpt
Please contact me back would love to work with you guys.

### 5/5 — Incredible!

*2025-12-16*

No matter how big the decision Moot always gets it right…

**Developer response:** Thank you so much! We're thrilled that Moot is helping you navigate your decisions with confidence. Your support means everything to us! 🙏

### 3/5 — not worth it

*2026-04-25*

you have to pay to use most of the app it if they made a free version with more freedom i would probably use it all the time

### 3/5 — AMAZING APP, RIDICULOUS PRICE TAG

*2026-03-25*

Honestly, I can see myself using this app pretty regularly as I do debates in my head all the time and this helps with that. I like how with the paid plan you can customize your board and theres a pretty wide variety of extra personalities to choose from. HOWEVER, $99 a year for the big plan is atrocious. That is an insane ask of the community. if you sent me a discount for $50 a year I’d pay that tomorrow.

### 3/5 — Interesting idea but

*2026-03-23*

One there needs to be safe guards The AI’s were asked by people if they should kill themselves or make coffee and they’re voting to ask them to kill themselves
Also, they always voted 3 to 2 from what I’ve seen like I can’t get them to vote the same on anything Also there needs to be guard rails to people not to use this as a crutch There’s a very interesting idea but it’s also quite expensive. You should get everything for $40 a year, but asking 30 a month is ridiculous for extra chat bots I like the idea of this, but it needs work. I’m open to feedback from the developers

**Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. We appreciate the issues you've faced and we're working very hard to ensure that misuse has no place on the app. We are pushing updates frequently to address this as well as other issues. So we hope that Moot can continue to be a genuinely useful and insightful app for the community. Regarding costs, we appreciate that it's a quite a premium but it's unfortunately extremely costly for us to run the service and maintain the high standards of the AIs. But we hope to bring these costs down in the future. Thank you.

### 3/5 — Add history

*2026-03-23*

Very nice but each time I had another question, it didn’t have access to previous chats so I had to write everything all over again with context, just a hassle.

**Developer response:** Thank you so much for your review, your feedback is really appreciated. History is already in the app, if you tap on Profile you can view your history with the button at the top of the page.

### 3/5 — Didn’t use but..

*2026-03-11*

Cool concept but immediate pay wall if a temporary free version but my advice to the devs is to add a free version indefinitely but for only the 5 main archetypes and the have extra features for the paid version eg: having a choice of 10 or so preset you can pick an choose for a custom council and maybe a option to design your own members but altering certain attributes so that people who really like the product can design the variety they need for decision making but maybe limit by number of of members with similar attributes to eliminate intentional bias

### 3/5 — An OK app

*2026-03-11*

Nice UI, the inquisitor is nice. Would be a much better app if the user can talk in the council too, far too often the council members assume information or hyperfixate and you can’t get them back on track cos you don’t have any input
