### 2/5 — OK when it works…which is fairly hit and miss

I teach a couple of students online, mostly I teach face-to-face, and I initially thought this app was very good. However, we had issues with sync-ing backing tracks to live playing, and now my student can’t even see or hear me, despite updating, calibrating, etc. And within the lesson he couldn’t see/hear me, then he could, then he coudn’t again (we restarted the app to try and fix the sync issue.) so I’ve spent nearly 45 mins with a student, with a frustrating experience all round, not got any teaching or learning done, and of course I can’t charge him for this so I’ve lost money too, and time. I just can’t recommend this app for serious teachers, and I’ll be looking for a full refund, it’s been generally abysmal and customer support aren’t exactly busting a gut to help. So the hunt for something better than this begins.

I have been using the paid version of Mooz for a few months now, and it's been a constant disappointment. The audio quality was never very god, nor was the video. Anytime I would start speaking or playing along with my students, their audio would completely cut out. I decided to do a test comparison with ZOOM and found that the video and audio quality was significantly higher, and would stay that way through out the entire lesson. And the cost does not reflect the level of service provided. A year ago I understood why it was maybe a better option, as ZOOM's audio didn't have the "original sound for musicians" option in their audio setting. I don't think the servers you are using are big enough to handle your services at high quality.

アカウント削除しようとしたら、有効なサブスクリプションがある場合は、削除出来ません。サブスクリプションを解約してからもう一度お確かめ下さいと出ました。サブスクリプションをみても、アプリ名が見当たらなく、解約出来ません。どこに問い合わせしたら良いのかもわかりにくく困ってます

Здравствуйте,на почту поддержки позавчера написала письмо с вопросом о работе приложения на айфон.Не могу вести занятия с телефона ,постоянно просит установить только на компьютер,но поддержка не отвечает более суток,соответственно вопрос не решается.Подскажите,пожалуйста,сроки ответа поддержки?!

It's got a few glitches here and there, but has generally been much better than Zoom. Sound quality is generally good, and lag isn't too bad. I'm still using the free version as I only do a small amount of online teaching - it's appreciated that I can do a full hour lesson without needing the paid version (which contains loads of features that I don't really need.) Whenever I report an issue I get a follow up from support very quickly.

The sound in the app is Clear! As a voice teacher, that's the number one element I need in voice lessons. 
Frequencies are all there, me and my student's sound don't cut off, not even in high pitch, loud and projected notes, and we can sing and play with another instrument without interruptions. 
It's easy and friendly to use for my younger students as well. 
There are still some bugs or elements that aren't perfect, but it seems the developers are constantly improving and updating the app, and they are very quick to respond when contacting support. 

It's the best app for online music lessons I've used- and I've used most of what's available.

MOOZ is really a well designed platform !
The functionally is really working beautifully and I am teaching seamlessly via the app ! It seems like a new company and I would not be surprised if it’s  on the way to becoming a standard .

### 3/5 — Good idea implemented badly

The idea behind this app is great but the sound quality is nowhere near “studio quality”. It’s not even up to the standard of a bad AM radio. As a matter of fact it is equivalent to Zoom with “Original Sound”.

We tested specifically with a cello, where sustained notes were compressed to the point of inaudibility.

We checked multiple configurations (with/without external mics, with/without headphones, ipads, iphones, macbooks) and multiple apps. MOOZ sounded no better than the other apps did when they were “optimized for musicians”. 

One standout exception was Facetime with the “Wide Spectrum” setting which was the best of all we tested. (We tested MOOZ, ZOOM, Facetime, FB Messenger, and a couple of other videoconference apps on the app store).

The MOOZ connection is nowhere near “low latency”.

We determined to use Facetime with the “Wide Spectrum” setting. The subscription cost being zero, the sound and video quality being superior, makes it a great choice.

Again the idea behind this app is a good one but it’s just not up to the hype at this date.

I’m a vocal coach and had been looking for something like this. What impressed me the most about MOOZ is that it solved a big problem I had with other meeting apps: they’re not designed for musicians and usually suppress the voice when singing. A huge plus is that I can sync my microphone vocals with the tracks I play, and it works perfectly for both my students and myself. Now I don’t have to guess where in the song we are—that’s a game changer for me. I think there’s still room for improvement, especially in the audio loading speed during live classes, but overall this app is amazing.

Hoje em dia dou poucas aulas on-line através de outras plataformas de graça . Vi uma propaganda informando que haveria uma versão grátis com menos recursos. Instalei o aplicativo para testar mas NÃO funciona sem que eu seja obrigada a fazer uma assinatura . Pena …. Não vou testar e se já não pensava em assina agora é que isso realmente não vai acontecer

Every single time I had a virtual lesson, the video quality was very low and very rarely would it jump up to full high Duff resolution. I have an extremely fast Internet connection and most of my students do as well so I know it’s not an issue with the internet. Also, the audio quality was very fuzzy and anytime there was a slight noise in the background for my and it would mute the incoming audio from my students, even though I had audio sync on. I’ve checked all of my settings to see if it was something wrong on my end or my students end and we had everything set up correctly. 

At one time the app was worth it because they had an audio settings that they’re competitors did not have, where you could only transmit spoken voice and everything else would cancel out. Now that the competitor offers the same feature for a significantly less and I’m getting full high resolution video and audio there’s no point in spending the money on this app. 

On top of that, somehow they managed to get my previous review removed. So who knows how many other bad reviews are getting removed and how they’re accomplishing that

Верните обратно корректную работу с телефона, это было максимально удобно и возможно в любом месте. Неделю назад обращалась в поддержку, сказали - все будет работать, но рекомендуют с компьютера. Мне нужно не так много функций, а только самые базовые - совершать звонок, синхронный звук и воспроизводить песни. Сейчас же мобильное приложение вообще ничего не позволяет, сразу экран «установите на компьютер», там даже иконки «связаться с поддержкой» сразу в приложении нет. Хотя повторюсь - неделю назад это еще было возможным и сказали после оплаты тарифа все будет. А что теперь?! Даже оплатить не могу

Невозможно зайти в личный кабинет. Приложение предлагается перейти в браузер и после этого ты переходишь на вечно загружающуюся страницу. И тоже самое на Windows.

I have taught well over 10,000 virtual guitar lessons. Mooz is not ready to go. It is buggy. I tried a session with a student who has done scores of lessons with me. Mooz would not allow us to use it's any of the functions, he was on a windows machine & I was using my MacBook Pro. When I contacted tech support about these issues, they were no help. Russian based. Zoom just works, Mooz doesn't. Annoying app and company.

Приложение использовалась ради мобильности , с учениками . Теперь цены конские / за что ? Только связь плохая видео тоже , метроном и тональность вообще молчу ,ещё к компьютеру привязали !!! Дно !!!!!

I have a few virtual students, so I thought I’d give this a test run. It did not go well, unfortunately. And then I did not cancel my trial in time and I was charged a $300 annual subscription for the product. In the rare instance where I’ve had this happen with other companies I contact support to let them know, and they refund the purchase graciously. At this point it has been more than A MONTH AND A HALF and NONE of my emails have been responded to. Absolutely horrible customer service. I prefer to give companies grace, as I understand it can be hard to get your idea to market, but this is UNACCEPTABLE. I don’t know if I’ll get a full refund.

I’ve been using Mooz for more than a year now and it really has been extremely in my virtual voice lessons. No matter what I did in Zoom I still could not hear the upper frequencies of my students’ voices and they could not hear mine, even with original sound for musicians on. So, thank you Mooz for making my lessons much more enjoyable. I love all the features of being able to connect my keyboard, upload sounds and sheet music, and the sound has been just great the majority of the time. Thanks you!

I’ve used a few different video platforms for online music lessons but Mooz is by far the best. I teach online 5 days a week and have very few issues - and these are quickly resolved by the live online chat. Highly recommend.

I have really enjoyed switching over to MOOZ for video lessons (violin and voice). The embedded features to help with latency issues are really user friendly and help a lot. I have had some issues hearing the student over the recording however so I find the mp3 player a little hard to use. The metronome and built in piano however are excellent. It also is very easy to onboard students, the app is a quick install and students joining the meeting is no fuss. Good waiting room feature, and no limits for lesson length. Overall a great replacement for Zoom and way easier to get a good sound through.

As a full-time music educator, I’ve spent the last several months using MOOZ.pro to teach over 40 students. When I first began using the platform with a smaller group, I was genuinely excited. MOOZ is designed specifically for music lessons, and it shows—there are thoughtful features like an audio player for my voice students that go beyond what general video platforms like Zoom or Google Meet offer. It was a refreshing change and felt promising.

Because of this, I transitioned my entire student roster to MOOZ. The vision behind the platform is clear: to create a space where music instruction can thrive with minimal distractions and seamless integration of tools. I genuinely believe in that mission.

However, as with any growing technology, expanding the platform's use brought some challenges to light—connectivity issues, audio and video inconsistencies, and difficulties with screen sharing among them. And as of now, the mobile/tablet app has been classified as a “helper” app and tech support does not recommend using it, but suggests everyone uses a PC for lessons. This worries me due to accessibility for all students and even teachers, as a lot of people can’t afford a PC and only have a phone or a tablet. 

That said, what gives me hope is that the MOOZ tech team has been responsive to my feedback, and I can tell they’re actively working to improve the platform. They've already addressed several bugs and have taken note of other issues I’ve flagged. I also really hope they continue to develop and improve the mobile/tablet app to ensure accessibility to everyone who wants to take lessons.

It’s also worth mentioning that MOOZ doesn’t currently offer a web-based version, which can be limiting for families using Linux computers or Fire tablets and can’t download the app to their device. For some devices there is a work around this, but it's something to keep in mind.

I'm excited about what MOOZ has to offer and I'm looking forward to seeing it constantly improve and grow.

The sound settings in MOOZ are simple and straightforward. No need to go deep down a rabbit hole to figure out optimal sound settings—Mooz’s sound quality is superior to other platforms I’ve used to teach lessons.
