### 5/5 — Just as good as the first!

*2012-09-23, version 1.0*

This app is just as good as the first one! I love this for not only sped kids but also young kids. I will be using this in my kindergarten classroom.. It not only works on directions, but on postional words as well as cause and effect! My kids will love this!!!

### 5/5 — Awesome app by Hamaguchi Apps

*2012-09-21*

This is very simular to the original "Fun with Directions" app, except that has additional suggestions and details for directions. This app allows for customization and there is a "next" button alowing for additional "thinking:" time, instead of just moving on. I only wish there was a way to track progress of the user. I would not hesitate to purchase this app.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2012-09-20*

I have used this app every day since I downloaded it. I can use it with all age ranges to work on simple following directions to more complex auditory processing. The super star directions are great to reinforce the patient's comprehension of the task. It would be beneficial to be able to track the child's progress within the app though. The app also has the tendency to present similar instructions repeatedly even when additional instructions are requested. But overall, I love this app and so do my patients.

### 5/5 — Nice progression from original

*2012-09-19, version 1.0*

Building on the original Fun with Directions app, this app is fun and engaging with a somewhat greater degree of difficulty, but the same clear, simple instructions and bright graphics. A wonderful addition to the toolbox of any teacher, therapist or parent. .

### 5/5 — Great add on to Fun with Directions

*2012-09-14, version 1.0*

I think I like this one even more! These apps are so full that we have not had a direction repeat yet. This is perfect for my practicing listening skills and following directions with more than one detail. Recommend this app!

### 5/5 — Practice following directions!

*2012-09-14, version 1.0*

A great sequel to the original Fun With Directions

### 5/5 — Awesome App

*2012-09-14*

### 4/5 — Nice!!

*2012-09-13, version 1.0*

My daughter continues to enjoy this developers apps!! She can hardly wait for me to get them downloaded. She really had to think more with this app. Hence the "more directions" :) This was wonderful for her!!! Keep up the great work Hamaguchi!!!!

### 4/5 — More Fun!

*2012-09-10, version 1.0*

This extension to the already created app which teaches how to follow directions is added fun. It also has the colorful pictures and is easy to use. Each time you follow a direction, it is followed by a fun sound effect which kids enjoy.

### 5/5 — Another Fantastic App!

*2012-09-10, version 1.0*

Absolutley love this app. Great animation, colors, ideas and sound effects. Enough differences to keep it challanging for your child. Great every day concepts incorporate color learning as well. Over all fantastic app. A+

Another great app by the developer. I really like that this has added more complex tasks from the original version. This will help the user advance in understanding multiple step instructions, a necessary ability when learning life skills.

### 1/5 — App not opening on iPad Air

*2025-08-15*

I upgraded to a newer iPad and the app will not open. It will appear as though it is going to and then returns to my home screen. I sent a request for help through the creator’s website and have received no help. I really enjoyed using this app within my therapy, when it worked.

**Developer response:** We have no record of any emails regarding this issue being received. Please know we receive and respond to all inquiries within a business day. Please contact us at info@hamaguchiapps.com for any assistance with our apps and we will help you figure out what is going on.

### 1/5 — What happened?

*2024-10-24*

Can’t open the app anymore! Just goes back to the icon after selecting.

**Developer response:** We have updated this app recently so it should be working fine. Try deleting the app completely from the desktop and then go back into the App store and redownload a fresh copy. You will not see a price because you already paid for it. There should be a downward arrow. Tap on that. Now try opening the app. It should open and work fine.

### 1/5 — Updat

### 1/5 — Settings Issue

*2013-04-22*

I am unable to use individual settings for each child in a group. It will only let me use settings for an entire group. If I have a student that I want to use "advanced" directions and a student I want to use "beginner" directions, it's not letting me. And it won't allow me to just select 2 users for a session. They have to be added to a group, and then I run into my settings issue. I have tried creating their individual settings and then adding them to the group, but it doesn't keep their settings. I also can't individualize the concepts when they are in a group. This app is not useful to me if I can't individualize the settings for each student in my group.

**Developer response:** Dear Enjoy the Emoji,
Even though it has been 4 years since you posted this review, we wanted to respond since Apple is now allowing developers to do so. We considered individual settings within the group play but the memory demands and logistics were too problematic as it required a reset of the entire level from player to player, which took too long. Perhaps with the new IOS code, the programmers can find a way to do this. Thanks for sharing your feedback. While we weren't able to respond until now, we did read and consider the feedback from all of the reviews. Thanks again for the feedback, The Hamaguchi App Team

### 3/5 — Screen errors

*2014-09-23, version 1.2*

This app is having lots of items on the screen that block the students ability to perform actions correctly, Love this app but please fix.

### 3/5 — SLP

*2013-11-13, version 1.2*

I've always loved this app, but since the iOS and app updates, it is constantly deleting ALL my data, the students and settings I've created! There has been a TON of information lost! PLEASE FIX THIS SOON!!!

### 3/5 — MEEC Speech

*2012-02-15, version 1.0*

I would prefer the directions to say over and under rather than above and below.

### 4/5 — Another great App by Hamaguchi!

*2013-05-03*

More Fun With Directions HD is a very nicely done app by Hamaguchi Apps. The app is wonderfully customizable and offers the ability to store and track student and/or group progress. There are three modes of practice: easy, intermediate, and advanced. Intermediate is the standard setting and offers two step directives with multi-choice answers. Easy mode offers one choice view alongside one-step directive prompts. Advanced mode offers multi-step directives and multi-choice answers with several choices provided in close similarity to test if child has listened closely. Each mode offers a Super-Star mode in which a directive is offered, acted out, then repeated back using the self-record option. I found this app to be very useful and believe it will provide ample practice for all children working on understanding and following directions properly. For children who struggle with processing or have a specific learning disability or cognitive disability/delay, or are on the spectrum, this app would be perfect to use as a means of implementing skills practice in understanding terms like: front, behind, above, etc. It will also assist in helping students understand and apply how to follow multi-step directives, which can be a difficult skill to master. Something I did notice is that for up and down, a child's understanding if those terms may not be properly recorded: for example a child chose a grey squirrel instead of a black squirrel to go down the tree. The app recoded the child did not comprehend the direction prompt for down, when in fact, the child did not properly differentiate the color black and grey. Every squirrel was going down and only needed tapped to go down, therefore, this data was not properly gathered by the app. Another very minor detail I would like to see changed is the constant request to place an ice cream cone on furniture such as a bed or sofa. While it may seem silly to some, to parents who may find food constantly placed inappropriately about the house, perhaps another item could be placed there instead. Regardless of these facts, this is a superb app and one worth having and using! I certainly recommend it!

### 5/5 — More Fun With Directions HD

*2013-05-24*

More Fun With Directions HD is engaging and fun. Perfect for students who struggle with receptive language and concepts of in, under, and more. With 3 levels of difficulty and 12 different concepts presented with fun visuals and great feedback, the user will quickly begin to understand the concepts and improve direction following ability. This app is a winner with my special needs students who enjoy the special effects when they choose correctly. Educators will love the ability to track progress and set up for more then one player. As the child plays the score is shown and if the concept presented is a new one. The settings are easy to set and navigate. As with ";Fun with Directions" this app is colorful, easy to use and a winner.

**Developer response:** Dear Anniesinger,
Thanks so much for your kind words and the 5 star review. We really appreciate that you took the time to share your experience with the App Store users. We hope you are still getting lots of use from the app! The Hamaguchi App Team (yes, 4 years later--Apple is just now allowing developers to respond to reviews)

### 5/5 — Another great directions app

*2013-05-01, version 1.1*

Great job just like Fun with Directions. I like the different customization tools and wide variety of concepts to work on. The update with all of the new features is great. The app design and visual appeal is great and it runs really smoothly now. Overall, great directions app.

### 5/5 — Amazing App!!

*2013-04-12*

This is perfect follow up to Fun With Directions! It takes all the concepts and moves to the next level! The app is perfect for kids with language delays, and need a bit of help with a bit more complex directions! The animations in the app make it very kid-friendly, and it is done with a white, non-distracting background. My child loves the app, not seeming to even notice how much he is learning the entire time!

### 5/5 — The best really helps!

*2012-10-11*

This is great! Love the three options and and using it as a worksheet. Being able show and follow the steps at my kids own pace was a big plus. We were using the other version but have switched to this one during SLP and OT and implemented it with step instructions and it is really helping a lot. One of the goals has and is multiple step directions and this really helps my son. He listens well but putting the steps together was hard. I highly recommend.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2012-09-30, version 1.0*

My children loved this app! They follow the instructions to drag the object to the correct place while learning colors and directions. The pictures are bright and my kids love when the monkey climbs up the tree or the car drives away! Very easy for kids to play without assistance.

### 5/5 — A Winner!!

Another great app from Hamaguchi Apps! This app is an extension of the Fun With Directions app. The pictures are bright and uncluttered. I like the superstar feature which allows me to record my voice dor my non verbal children!!
