I used local SIM in phone and my home SIM in the device. Far from great but allows functionality. The only problem is that the app keeps sending a notification every time the card is out of range, which is annoying because I often take my phone without my wallet when I go to my home office, kitchen, garage, etc . If you disable notifications, you don’t receive SMS alerts. However, I have no choice but to disable notifications otherwise I would be receiving notification fixations all day long that the card is out of range, and there is no way to disable it.
