You can play with someone else in real time but it also allows for correspondence play, meaning you can take up to 24 hours per move. Great for playing multiple games at once. Good work. Bug fixes needed. *2022-03-03* Good implementation and fun to play. AI is good. Two fixes: 1) When taking a Destroying Angel, you can run into the situation where you’re not able to play anything. The app currently just gets stuck. The rules book says that if you can’t do anything because of a Destroying Angel, then your turn is skipped and your opponent gets his next turn. 2) On my iPad, I can’t see the names of the cards because of the white line at the bottom of the device. ### 5/5 — Brain Food *2022-01-09, version 1.34* Morels stimulates brain function. Everything about the game feels laid back and relaxing, but it also has depth and complexity for anyone seeking a challenge. The games are not long, which is great because you can always find time to play, and you keep getting better because you improve a little every game. The art, music and sound is also wonderfully done. I’ll never get tired of how satisfying it sounds to sell, grab and cook the mushrooms. Things to improve iPad Pro bar - The iPad Pro home screen bar covers the names of the cards in your hand. This is annoying and it would be great to see an update that fixes this. If this were fixed I would give it five stars! ### 5/5 — Beautiful, fun game *2020-11-28* I own the board game and I love it. The only thing from the board game I am not a fan of, but this app takes care of it. The line actually hide the number of mushroom in the deck information, which is pretty annoying. Please move a bit higher the cards on the screen or make the app hide the line like some other apps do. I’m really disappointed at how many game breaking issues there are though. A lot of the foray cards don’t actually work, for example: Using, I chose 4 cards of the same cool value (two different types of mushroom) and the game highlights them, but I’m unable to cook them. There are a number of similar issues I keep running into and it’s ruining the game for me. PLEASE fix this!! Pan system is annoying and takes up your hand without app auto using the pan in your hand should be set as default. You can’t use butter and cider extras together at same time. Jaipur has a campaign for solo play so I prefer it plus its easier to understand. Both games need WIN/LOSS records vs ai. ### 4/5 — Almost perfect *2025-10-05* I love everything about this game but it doesn’t seem to register when another player takes their turn. Im playing on an iPad and I have to exit the game and refresh for every single turn I take so see what the other player did. It ruins the whole experience. Otherwise I’d give this 5 stars ### 4/5 — Online play slow. *2024-04-30* 24 hours to play your turn is too long. One game can take weeks. Limit the time to 30 seconds so each player has to stay vested in the game until it’s complete. ### 4/5 — Great game, but doesn’t follow rules for a tie *2022-12-19, version 1.34* I love this two person game. But the app doesn’t follow the printed rules for a tie. Whoever cooks the most mushrooms in total - breaks the tie and wins. I went to enable online play which ended up causing an issue that ended up locking me out of using the app at all even after reinstalling it. I emailed the dev and he responded with in a day that he had pushed an update to fix the issue and I was back playing the next day!
