## What is Mori Weeks?

Mori makes time visible.

A minimalist life calendar shows the weeks of your life — compact, calm, and distraction-free.
Inspired by memento mori: when you see time’s finitude, you may make clearer choices.

How Mori helps

• Life calendar
See your life as a quiet grid of weeks. Each dot represents one week.
• Current week
Focus on the present week, reflect on it, and add a short private note.
• Weekly reflections
Mark meaningful weeks, add a mood, and write down what mattered.
• Month view
Navigate your weeks more easily through a month-based view. Tap any week to reflect on it.

• Life events
Add meaningful moments with a title, date, color, category, symbol, and optional note.
• Life phases
Mark longer chapters of your life, such as school, relationships, work, places, or personal seasons.
• Review
Look back at what happened since your last birthday: events, reflections, and meaningful weeks.
• What-if mode
Explore temporary scenarios without changing your profile.
• All Weeks
A simple view where every week counts the same.
• Good Weeks
An optional quality-weighted view where later years can be subtly adjusted and marked.
• Personalizable
Set your date of birth and sex, with optional simple inputs such as smoking, exercise, alcohol, height, weight, sleep, stress, screen time, steps, diet, social contact, and chronic conditions.
• Fine-tuning
Choose when good years start to decline and the quality toward life’s end.
• At a glance
Optionally show remaining weeks at the top.
• Widgets
Small, medium, and accessory widgets show your remaining weeks, progress, and important markers such as events and life phases.
• Display options
Show or hide age markers, life events, and life phases.
• Appearance
Light, Dark, or System.
• Private by default
No account. Your data stays on your device unless you enable optional iCloud backup.

### 4/5 — English not working

*2026-03-16*

Really loving the UI of the widgets this app offers. I’m not sure if it was affected by a recent update but the medium sized widget only displays in German - not English.

**Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback and for pointing this out. I’ll fix the medium-sized widget language issue in the next update. If you notice anything else, please feel free to let me know :-)

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0 — 2026-04-29

New in version 2.0

Mori stays quiet and minimal — but becomes much more personal.
Version 2.0 adds reflections, life phases, a month view, richer widgets, and more ways to not only see your time, but give it context.

What’s new:

- Current week
The current week now has its own focused view.
It makes the present moment clearer and gives you space for a short weekly reflection.

- Weekly reflections
You can now add a note, mood, and meaningful-week marker to individual weeks.
Reflections stay private and are meant as small snapshots, not a performance review.

- Month view
The new month view makes individual weeks easier to reach.
Tap a week tile to open that week and reflect on it.

- Life phases
In addition to single life events, you can now mark longer chapters of your life.
Life phases appear as subtle bands in the weekly grid and help reveal larger patterns.

- Improved life events
Life events can now include categories, symbols, and colors.
This makes meaningful moments easier to distinguish in the grid.

- Review
The new review view shows what has happened since your last birthday: events, reflections, and meaningful weeks.

- What-if mode
Scenario mode lets you temporarily explore how certain inputs would affect the visualization, without changing your profile.

- Richer widgets
Widgets now show not only remaining weeks, but also important events and life phases relative to the larger grid.

- More display options
Age markers, life phases, and event markers can now be shown or hidden individually.

- iCloud backup
Optional iCloud backup has been added, making it easier to keep personal entries backed up and synced.

- Better setup
Setup has been expanded, giving you a calmer start and more control over how much you want to enter right away.

- Dark Mode improvements
Markers, life phases, and events are now easier to see in Dark Mode.

- Many small refinements
Texts, labels, navigation, localization, and widgets have been refined throughout the app to make Mori feel clearer, calmer, and more consistent.

Reminder

Mori is a visualization and an approximation.
It is not health or life advice, and it does not replace medical judgment.
Just a quiet mirror for time — to help you choose more consciously.

### 1.3 — 2026-03-25

New in this version

Mori remains quiet and minimal — but becomes a little more human.
This update improves localization, fixes language inconsistencies, and introduces life events: a simple way to mark meaningful moments in the visual flow of your weeks.

What’s new:

- Life events
You can now add personal life events with a title, date, color, and optional note.
They appear directly in the weekly grid, so important moments become visible within the larger shape of a life.

- Edit life events
Existing life events can now be opened and edited directly.
This makes it easier to refine the timeline as memories, milestones, or meanings change.

- Localization fixes
Fixed several issues in English and German translations, including widget-related texts and language consistency across parts of the app.

- Better text consistency
Labels, section titles, and descriptions have been refined to feel calmer, clearer, and more aligned with the tone of Mori.

Reminder

Mori is a visualization and an approximation.
It is not health or life advice, and it does not replace medical judgment.
Just a quiet mirror for time — to help you choose more consciously.

### 1.2 — 2025-12-23

New in this version

Mori remains minimal — and becomes a little more personal.
This update extends the health fine-tuning options and makes the idea of “good weeks” more transparent, without disturbing the calm nature of the app.

What’s new:

- Extended health inputs (optional)
You can now add simple, optional reflections on sleep, stress, screen time, everyday movement, diet, and social contact.
Everything stays intentionally rough — for awareness, not control.

- Refined calculation of “good weeks”
The new inputs gently influence the life-time estimation.
Effects are deliberately small, so nothing feels abrupt or artificial.

- Improved data stability
Internal changes ensure existing profiles continue to work reliably after updating.

- Better widget synchronization
Changes in the settings are now passed to widgets more consistently.

- Small UI improvements
Clearer labels, better readability, and more consistent behavior across the settings.

Reminder

Mori is a visualization and an approximation.
It is not health or life advice, and it does not replace medical judgment.
Just a quiet mirror for time — to help you choose more consciously.

### 1.1 — 2025-10-13

Hello Mori enthusiasts,

this update only adjusts the language setting: Mori now reliably follows your iOS system language (German or English). No other changes in this version. New features are already in the works—stay tuned!

Best,
the Mori Team
