Some of my feedback has now being considered for the new version of the app but are locked under paywall. The developer said bye was going to respect early adopters but providing one month trial and forcing a subscription seems unfair to the users the support him with our ideas. I feel scammed ### 1/5 — Please change it back *2026-05-30* What is this briefing thing? Please just change it back to the phone call. I don’t want to hear the news. Not too long ago, you changed the morning message to something different. I liked the first one and now you added this brief thing. Jeez, I’m just waking up, why would I want a slideshow. Bring back the call. And the “time to start your day, small steps make a big difference. Tried so many times. Avoid trying this. May miss your important wakeups. Also why does it need access to all my contacts, scam, data theft???? **Developer response:** ✅ Fixed! To give some context, the reason we asked for contact access was to help you set up Always Ring Mode in under 10 seconds. We thought it would make the setup easier, but you’re absolutely right that it was the wrong call. As of v1.3.2, we’ve completely removed the contacts permission. Now the app walks you through setting it up manually with a simple guide — no contact access needed at all. Regarding the call not ringing, this can be happen if there’s no internet connection at the scheduled time, as Morning Call currently requires an active network connection to place the call. We understand how important reliable wake-ups are, and we’re working on improvements so it can function more reliably even in offline situations. We’re truly sorry for the inconvenience, and we appreciate your honest feedback. ### 2/5 — Odd *2026-02-19* I think this is a really wonderful idea! However, the app asks for full access to ALL my contacts (including names, phone numbers, addresses, emails, etc) during the setup process with no opt-out function. I think it’s very odd that they would “require” access to all of that information, when I’m the one asking for the service, not my contacts. **Developer response:** ✅ Fixed! To give some context, the reason we asked for contact access was to help you set up Always Ring Mode in under 10 seconds. Until…. *2026-06-04* I genuinely loved this app. It was perfect for waking me up, had just the right amount of information and the way that it ended with the same inspiring message to start your day… chefs kiss! But then you change it. Why??? Here’s the thing: change is fine and I understand you’re just trying to improve it but it’s starting to just be like everything else. You had a great idea! Tweaking versus completely changing everything that made the app fantastic is a mistake. At least give the user the option to choose what kind of sentiment you want at the end of the call or personality of the bot.
