## What is Mornist?

Mornist is the AI alarm app that trains your willpower to wake up early, then makes itself unnecessary.
Every alarm app assumes the same thing: you are lazy and need to be punished into consciousness. Louder ringtones. Math puzzles. Barcode scans. They work for a week, then you quit.

Mornist takes a different approach. What if waking up is not a sound problem, but a willpower problem?

HOW IT WORKS

You tell the app when you wake up now and when you want to wake up. The AI calculates your alarm every day using a training protocol borrowed from elite athletics: push, push, hold, recover. Your wake time moves earlier gradually, with built-in recovery days so your willpower refills instead of breaking.

No snooze button. One alarm. One chance.

IDENTITY-BASED MOTIVATION
You choose who you want to become. Doctor, Captain, Sergeant, Scholar. Every morning, AI generates a personalized speech addressed to your identity:
"Good morning, Doctor. You said you would study. The books are waiting."
A Doctor would not hit snooze. And you told the app you are a Doctor.

FEATURES
- AI-calculated alarm times. You never set your own.
- No snooze button. No negotiation.
- 2-1-1 Protocol: push, push, hold, recover. Like athletic training for your willpower.
- Personalized AI morning speeches with voice playback.
- Evening mission briefs to prepare your mindset before sleep.
- Past Self Chat: talk to the Day-1 version of yourself and see how far you've come.
- Community stories: read breakthroughs, struggles, tips, and milestones from fellow early risers.
- Library: curated articles on sleep science, willpower, and morning routines.
- Badges: earn achievements for consistency and unlock features as you progress.
- Progress tracking: streaks, consistency scores, wake-time trends, and monthly analytics.

THE GOAL
Most apps want you to use them forever. Mornist wants you to graduate. When you can wake on your own, the alarm goes silent. You move beyond alarm dependence entirely.

1 Alarm. 1 Chance. No excuses.

### 5/5 — Better than I expected

*2026-04-17*

### 5/5 — Finally, an alarm that actually works

*2026-04-16*

Mornist is not just another alarm app — it genuinely changes how you wake up. The 2-1-1 system makes it surprisingly easy to adjust your routine without feeling burned out, and the “no snooze” concept keeps you accountable. The AI coaching in the morning is a really nice touch and feels personal. Definitely one of the most unique and useful apps I’ve tried.
