Think it’s about time for an update. Still some bugs that can be addressed and some graphics options for higher end phones would be cool. Not to mention some new content would be awesome. I would have given this game more stars, but the whole thing just feels unfinished. There are a ton of bugs, terrible AI, bad voice acting, and terrible animations. There have been multiple times where I have gotten stuck trying to play through the main story. I don’t mean I couldn’t solve a puzzle when I say that, I mean that the game can be aimless and you can find yourself stuck in easily accessible locations. You’re meant to find 3 cubes to open a gate. However, I died while holding the final cube - rather than it appearing in its original location it’s now in the hole that it needs to be in to open the gate. But the gate doesn’t open. Tried restarting the level but no joy. So am I going to have to start the whole game again?! Hardly. There is a sense of mystery and adventure in the early sections, but I couldn’t tell you how well they build on this, as the game fails to save my progress. As I push forward in the game, it tells me I’ve reached checkpoints and seems as though things are being saved, but ultimately, when I relaunch the game later on, I am back to my save in the middle of an early mission. When recovering the power cubes on zhima, if you die while carrying the cubes, you cannot complete the mission as they will go through the needed slots but will no trigger the door and there’s no way to restore an old game or restart the mission to resplendent the cubes. I’d really love to progress in this game to the end, but at this rate I will need to start all over time do so. It is a mini, mobile No Man’s Sky, and while it doesn’t have many players nowadays (it is aging), I still enjoy it so much. Similar to NMS you travel from planet to planet, system to system scanning resources. Unlike NMS however, there is a pretty good story in this game, which I finished in about 13-15 hours. There are plenty of side missions too - involving fetch quests, collecting resources and killing things. I picked this up on sale and it was worth every penny! I will say that the touch screen controls take some getting used to, but it won’t take you long.
