## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2026-08-28

- Grimmory (Booklore) support as a third server type.
- Local network addresses for self-hosted servers now connect reliably.
- A storage cap for downloads, with auto-clean and a visual breakdown of what's using space.
- Up Next and Continue Listening stay in sync with each other more reliably.
- Fixed the Home Screen widget losing track of what's playing after switching servers.
- Fixed a playback interruption affecting some AirPlay speaker setups.
- Every book cover throughout the app now offers the same quick actions.
- Plus a round of smaller fixes and polish throughout.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-24

- Accent colors. Six to choose from, part of Morrow Unlock.
- Sign in to BookOrbit shared accounts with a magic link, no password needed.
- Chapters now appear for books whose server has no chapter information, read straight from the audio file. There is also a new Chapter/Book toggle under the scrubber.
- CarPlay starts up much faster, especially on a weak signal.
- Continue Listening stays accurate across your devices, so opening Morrow on another phone or tablet picks up the book you actually listened to last.
- Choose which genres appear in the Genre Spotlight shelf on Home.
- Settings has been reorganized so the things you change most sit near the top.
- Plus a round of smaller fixes and polish throughout.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-11

Playback speed is now a smooth slider (0.50x–2.50x) instead of fixed steps, with a default speed you can set in Settings and a per-book override that remembers your preference for each book until you change it again or finish it.

New: listening history. See exactly when each session started and stopped, and how long you actually listened — right on the Playing screen. Great for picking up where you actually left off, not just wherever playback happened to stop.

Downloaded books now switch over automatically the moment they finish downloading, even mid-stream — so a book keeps playing seamlessly if you go into Airplane Mode right after. And any progress made while listening offline now syncs the instant you're back online, so switching devices always picks up from where you really left off.

Plus a fix for a small but annoying bug: adjusting speed while paused no longer accidentally resumes playback.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-06

Big iPad improvements: Playing, Book Detail, and browsing screens now make full use of the screen, with a new focused full-screen player view
Fixed a couple of cases where the wrong book could briefly show after switching libraries
Various reliability fixes

### 1.1 — 2026-08-05

This update brings a refreshed look and a batch of fixes:

• New square cover art across Series, Authors, and Collections for a more consistent library view
• A redesigned Continue Listening card on Home — see your progress at a glance and pause without leaving the screen
• Series numbers and listening-progress badges now show right on the cover
• Faster CarPlay startup
• Fixed CarPlay tab and offline playback issues
• Fixed BookOrbit series that pointed to ebook-only editions
• Numerous smaller fixes and polish

Thanks for listening with Morrow!
