This was recommended to me as being similar to G4FON which is PC only. This has the benefit of working on the iPhone so I can use it anywhere.
I have been working on learning code for a while, but have been having difficulty with instant character recognition. Morse Elmer has helped tremendously with that.

I have used several apps while working to learn code and this one is the best I have stumbled across. It’s better than some of the gamified apps that give you unlimited time to remember a character.  Being forced to keep up, at a pace that I can control with the Farnsworth spacing, makes all the difference in the world.  Thank you and keep up the great work.

I cannot describe how quickly I progressed. Set your speed to 20WPM and Farnsworth spacing to the max and just work your way faster and faster. This app is TOO easy.

I tried several other programs, in short, they fell short of any help to relearn CW after 45 years. Tried this one and it’s GREAT. Worth far more than the cost. All letters correspond to my computer program called “Just learn Morse code” by LB3KB. They are a perfect match for both phone and computer! I had one question on this App, author replied immediately, great service from one ham operator to another.

This is one of 3 critical aids needed for learning Morse Code.  This training method has been much improved over time.  I’ve used this from receiving 0 wpm up until 25wpm.  Also useful is MorseZapp app (for sending) and listening to Kurt Zoglmann videos on YouTube (for listening and headcopy). This app requires pen and paper, which I believe to be an important aspect of training.  This is really a fun way to train too!  Enjoy.

I wish I had known about this app sooner. It’s exactly what I was wishing I could find but had not found for months until seeing it mentioned in a YouTube video from a ham operator.  My goal, and what this app offers, sounds obvious but is hard to find: actual content sent with a letter spacing that you can start at high spacing and gradually reduce the time between letters as you get faster at comprehension. This plus the great QSO samples as the content makes it doubly educational.

I am just starting to learn the code. So far i have learned 13 letters and 3 numbers. I like this app because I can control the speed of the code, control what letters I want to focus on, and most of all, I like the heads up display showing the letter that was just sent! At first I didn’t realize how good this app is but after using it I am happy with it.

Disappointed in the program. Having use other Android apps such as Morse Mentor, when I got an iPhone, I needed another app. Sorely dissatisfied with this app. There is no input while practicing, and no auto correcting capability. Not worth downloading, let alone paying for it. A waste of money.

If you looked this app up because it says it’s like G4FON but for the iPad.
Forget it. 
It’s probably the worst CW trainer you can get.
There are better iPad CW apps unfortunately I haven’t yet found one as good as G4FON

So, it’s a Mobil app that requires a pen and paper so it’s useless on the go. 

It starts out beeping at you with multiple letters, so it assumes you have some Morse code experience to build on rather than starting from zero. 

There’s no function to help you learn to SEND Morse code, just listen to it, so it only makes a clunky attempt at half the job. 

The whole thing seems well designed if the goal is to get your .99 and have you delete the app within 10 - 30 minutes. So HT to the designer there...

The description is very deceptive. This app actually does nothing but convert text to morse Code. The reports are ridiculous. They don’t report anything that the app does. You have to manually input (honor system) how well you think you are doing and it charts it on a graph. It’s insane to actually charge for this. All it does is play Morse Code from text. To get any idea how well you are doing you first have to manual copy you translation onto a paper notepad and then afterwards you can manually compare your note pad with the original source text then manually assess how well you did and manually input your own assessment into the app to chart for you on a graph. Why would anyone pay for this app when anyone could do this for free with any of the dozens of free apps that convert text to Morse?

A useful App when learning Cw. I found that rather than write down what I am hearing, I use a memo device,so say out loud what you hear and play back to check in the app for your accuracy and if you really want to , check your progress (I don’t) 
A useful tool along with others to get you there

I’ve tried a couple other apps similar to this which were a lot harder to use, produced random words that repeated way to often, or were just too simple.  I like this one because it simulates the actual structure of CW operations in the real world and gives you the option to fill in the blank of who is calling, their name, location, etc.  It also will print the convo so that you can read along while hearing the code.

I passed the UK RAE many years ago when 12wpm morse was a requirement of passing the licence.
Sadly, I just moved on without cw after just a handful of cw contacts.
So, basically, I had to start from scratch when it
came to learning the code.
I came across Morse Elmer. It's a great little app which does everything you need for learning morse. It is also very cheap when considering the work that has gone into creating the program. 
Because it's on my phone, I can use this anywhere I have a spare moment.
I am progressing very quickly thanks to Morse Elmer. A great app at a great price. 
Highly recommend it.
