### 4/5 — No content displayed

*2024-02-12, version 2.2.3*

No content is displayed in the text box. The app is great otherwise. Please patch the bug.

### 4/5 — Great program, but...

*2021-01-15*

...it does suffer from a few defects: (1) Pasting custom word list is clunky—seems like one must get “just the right sequence” of commands (pasting and changing between Settings and normal screens)—haven’t figured out the sequence that works yet, but I just keep tryin different things until it works. It is NOT a straightforward pasting operation. Also, (2) the random number generator that is used for randomizing a list of “words,” does not have a uniform distribution. It appears to lop-off the two ends of the distribution. To get all words in my custom, pasted list to play (randomly), I must actually add two dummy words (or characters) to the start and the end of my list, since these will never play. But they will allow the actual, intended “start” and “end” characters to be selected, for play......weird......check the RNG you are using, Developer(s).

This App is really helpful in my learning to copy CW.

### 5/5 — Brilliant!

*2014-09-10*

It has just what the paid apps should have. And it's free! Couldn't be happier with this app.
The farnsworth method, combined with the letters showing up on the screen with a few seconds of delay makes it perfect for learning to listen, once you are intermediate (already know all the letters, but still take some time to identify them by listening).

Kudos to the dev(s), great job. This app deserves way more exposition.

### 4/5 — Exactly What I Needed

*2014-03-22*

After you learn the individual letters and digits, this is a great next step. There are many apps that send sentences or RSS headlines, but those aren't good for learning CW because you anticipate the next word. With random words, you can't guess the next word, so you really have to *recognize* the current word.

The only thing I really wish the author would add is the option of adding the next 500 common words.

Very nicely done.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2013-10-14*

Heaven knows why no one has reviewed this? For a beginner , this is what I've been looking for. Top marks! Now we just need a decoder for the iPad/iPhone and you've got all you need. Oh just needs a reset button, but not a problem as it's for personal comfort at the end of the day. I'd give more stars but five is max. also can't see what I'm typing as the review thing doesn't scroll up!

### 5/5 — Handy little app

*2013-09-01*

Morse Words is a useful app for keeping your code speed up or even increasing it. It comes with a 250-word vocabulary and the ability to add more words. (I haven't been able to get that feature to work yet, but I believe it's a cockpit problem.) it has helped me get to 30 WPM.

### 5/5 — Great App for Increasing Copy Speed

*2013-02-12*

I am getting excellent value from this app in getting my code speed up above 15 wpm. I wish the word bank was larger, such the 1000 most popular words, and I would like to see some options for callsigns. But overall this is a fine app, and I am using it daily (almost).

/Pete

### 5/5 — Nice

Exactly what I need to "brush up" up on my code.

Thank

### 5/5 — Morse Words

*2012-07-10*

Does the job well.Simple to use.Far better than most of the other tutors.
Tone change is a good idea, not everyone like to listen to 600.
Good Variation in send speed, words per minute or dot speed. Nice.

I would have liked the Option to display the words after a Given time. The hide and show option is good but seeing all the words sent when show is pressed would be great.

All in all a nice Job..

### 2/5 — Nice idea BUT

*2016-04-13*

This is a nice idea but the list of words it sends is very limited. After a few passes you will have heard all the words and be able to copy them. But you will fool yourself into thinking you have developed code skills. I got bored with this app after ten passes of 50 words each. The list of 250 words is just too few. Also there are no numbers and the only punctuation is ' which is often dropped when sending code.

### 2/5 — good idea, flawed implementation

*2015-09-05*

Straightforward practice tool with a clean interface, but with two bad problems: First, it cannot be dialed down slower than five words per minute for rank beginners (the most obvious audience). Second, when configured to show the letters while it plays them, it lags several letters behind, making the feature quite frustrating.

### 2/5 — Poor execution

*2012-10-07*

Great concept but lots of problems. If the screen goes to sleep it stops and you lose the text of whatever you were copying so you won't know if your right or not. Also you have to turn on your ringer to get the sound to play.

I like the idea and want to use this to supplement other resources, but there are too many little things that make it a hassle. Hopefully updates to come.

### 3/5 — Keine Wortlisten hinterlegt

*2024-11-07*

Die App liefert Morsezeichen, aber man kann den gemorsten Text weder anzeigen, noch eigene Listen erstellen.

Damit sinkt der Gebrauchswert auf Null

### 3/5 — Not fully there

*2023-09-19*

At only 10 WPM, an initial dit simply doesn’t happen. Initial dahs sound like dits, so a lot of the words don’t make sense. It’s as if the audio channel is closed between words, and not opened in time for the first symbol.

### 3/5 — Please add support for Apple Watch

*2016-09-27*

Please add support for Apple Watch.

### 3/5 — Could do with a warning vvv

*2016-02-21*

I have enjoyed this programme for a while now. Not that I get any better but that is just me and not the software. I always miss the first few letters on the first word - no catch up facility on my brain! App sometimes crashes on my iPad Air2. I just kill it & reload.

### 3/5 — Lags on letter display

*2014-05-09*

There is a severe lag present between hearing the letter and the letter showing up, which adds to confusion. The lag gets worse as you go. For example, being ten letters into the message and then the fifth letter shows up. If you're watching the screen and keeping track mentally instead of writing it down, this will throw you off. There is no way to adjust lag time or immediacy of the letter shown after it is heard. On the latest ios version 7.1.1 as of this review. This would be very helpful to me if this lag wasn't present. I want to like this app but, this issue makes it useless.

### 3/5 — Nice App

*2014-01-19*

Great way to practice copying words and the ability to upload files makes it even more flexible. Tone and speed control is good. I recommend giving it a try.

### 4/5 — Leider kann man keine eigene Worte nutzen

*2025-05-25*

Würde gerne Q-Gruppen lernen. Leider ist dies mit diesem Program nicht möglich. Vielleicht würde man sich mal darum kümmern? Danke

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2025-10-11*

Help me not only learn Morse Code it helped me interpret it at 30 wpm !

### 5/5 — Random word practice works well!

*2024-06-16*

Random word play seems to be helping me practice. I’m happy with this app!

### 5/5 — This is the best app for learning Morse code

*2024-05-04*

First of, the copy function does not work correctly, please just let users type what they wish would be better than copy and paste function the app currently uses. This app has many great features, like setting wpm, volume and tone. The best feature is the wpm which allows user to choose speed all the way up to 50 and down to 5. User can get familiar with each character at slow speed and then experience the high speed sound pattern. It also allows the dot speed wpm, a great feature that no other similar apps ever offer. One improvement I would like to propose would be to add a function or button called “repeat” or “loop”, with which the will repeat or loop indefinitely the character string user entered so that user can listen as long as wishes, to allow user to live in the Morse sound world as long as he/she likes and wishes. Best, David

### 5/5 — Kleines Programm, dass wirklich Spaß macht!

*2022-06-17*

### 5/5 — Great App

*2021-11-03*

I have used this app for almost 2 years. It has taken me from less than five words per minute up to 18 words per minute. I've used it for 20 minutes every day.
Sincere thanks to the developer.
VK3FLAK.

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2021-03-22*

For practicing higher speeds this program is perfect. Gives you random words so you cannot anticipate what’s coming, but have to hear it and decode it. Great for learning to head copy.

### 5/5 — Very nice app

*2020-09-13*

As a 42 year cw op, I must say I love this app. Easy to use! No bugs.

### 5/5 — PERFECT

*2020-03-17*

I can type the message, change the pitch of tone, and alter the speed at which the message is sent.
Couldn’t have asked for more!
Thank you!
