Leider wird sie vermutlich nicht weiterentwickelt, weshalb mir ein paar wesentliche Dinge fehlen: 1. Die App versucht sich jedes Mal mit dem Game.Center zu verbinden. Was soll das? 2. Bei jedem Start wird man aus Neue gefragt, ob man die Doku lesen will. Ein ‚Don‘t remind me‘ wird einfach ignoriert. Das nervt. 3. Es gibt nur die Möglichkeit, Texte zu scannen. Weder Copy/Paste, noch Laden/Speichern funktioniert. Da macht sich das Alter der App bemerkbar. 4. Es werden immer zu jedem Buchstaben die Morse-Zeichen dazu angegeben. Das ist sehr ungeschickt, wenn man genau das üben möchte. Stichwort Spickzettel. 5. Die Funktion mit den Drehrädchen in den Options ist zwar nett, eine Direkteingabe wäre mir aber lieber. 6. Als Lernprogramm würde ich auch Lernkurve und Fehlerquote erwarten. Fehlt leider völlig. 7. Keiner lernt alle Zeichen gleichzeitig. Es sollte die Möglichkeit einer randomisierten Auswahl von bekannten Zeichen in definierbaren Blöcken geben, welche man in den Optionen definiert. Diese sollten dann genau NICHT angezeigt werden, sondern durch hören und eigene Eingabe erlernt werden. 8. Es gibt beim Morsen Start und Ende Signale. Warum wird hier darauf verzichtet? 9. Um das Morsen mit dem Finger zu üben, sollte es auch die Möglichkeit geben, Texte auf dem Zettel, welche geladen, oder generiert werden, selbst einzutickern. Hier auch wieder mit Qualitätskontrolle. Für eine Bezahl-App finde ich, man darf sowas erwarten. ### 2/5 — Not very good for decoding Morse. *2021-02-23* Tried using this app many times for decoding Morse on my iPad. Tried the different settings, including spacing farnsworth, sensitivity etc, etc. I could only get it to decode about 10 percent of the words/letters. On the other hand, the program does well for translating text to code. ### 3/5 — Good BUT notepad doesn't work *2014-06-21* Good key action, lots of settings BUT floored. Translate feature doesn't work as it's nit possible to write onto the notepad! ### 4/5 — It is great app, but here the the solution to the other mentioned issues *2014-06-17* I understand what may be frustrating in some of the other reviews. The note pad appears not to be working when the app first starts. This problem is easily solved. The app allows you to configure the font and point size for the notepad feature. When first installed this defaults to zero, so it looks as if nothing I sapping on the note pads. Just press options then, swipe up on the screen to scroll to the font options and enlarge the font. Hit options again to exit and save the setting. Problem solved. I have found this app to be just what I was looking for.. It is a nice interface and is helpfully in helping me learn and practice morse code. ### 2/5 — Decoder *2014-05-11* Audio decoder will not activate. So, I am unable to perform the function for which I purchased the app. ### 1/5 — No Function *2016-01-06, version 1.2* Funktioniert nicht auf dem iPad mit aktuellem IOS. FINGER WEG es ist rausgeworfenes Geld. And the description of "Morster" was really promising. But the main function converting visual signs into written characters doesn't work at all! I read the whole manual (PDF) tried all switches, but no characters are shown in the notepad, while "recording" the source. Also manual typing character into the notepad doesn't work, they are stored, but not visulized! REally frustrating! I want my money back! I am using an iPhone 6 with the latest iOS, maybe some functions are not ported to this version... Wanted to give it a try now but it does not work on iOS 7. Tone adjusting refuses to work. It's also very hard to send good code with key not reading key stroke correctly. I'm fairly proficient in CW and would not recommend this app to anyone wanting to really learn code. A nice toy perhaps but not very useful. It did however take me by surprise as I feel it is a fantastic little app, I have played about with mobile morse learning tools recently but this one works so well for me as within about three hours I now can reliably morse from A to Z by memory. The best I have come across so far by far..... ### 5/5 — Beautifully Designed, Highly Recommended *2016-01-12* This app is gorgeous and the morse input is very responsive. My 9 year old and I have been learning morse code. We've tried a couple of other apps that look ugly and have limited functionality. I decided to give this one a go and am not disappointed. It trains you to time your morse input which is very helpful. I have been using the notepad and trying different phrases using a printed morse alphabet for reference. I am really starting to get a rhythm at around 7-8 words per minute. This app blows the other morse apps away. You have to select a font and dial the font size up in the settings before any type shows up on the notepad or in the settings. I set the font to American Typewriter at first but ignored the size and nothing showed up until I dialed the size up. The default font size is zeroed out. It would be hepful if the font and size were preset but those are my only complaints after an hour of use. My little boy is going to love being able to hear the morse tones as he practices and see the letters next to his morse code to make sure he gets his entries correct. I highly recommend this app. Ignore the negative reviews. This app has a comprehensive instruction booklet. I really feel like I got my moneys worth with this purchase. I read the instructions and am excited to try some of the functions for advanced users as I gain experience. I hope the developer adds a "Rate this App" button somewhere in the settings so users can more easily rate and review this gem. ### 5/5 — Works well *2014-06-20* The people having problems with this app probably didn't take the time to read the very in depth set of instructions that come with it. For the notepad to function you need to set the font features. I downloaded this app just because I was curious to see how helpful a morse code app could be for training using the iPhone or iPad. But the moment I downloaded it, my two kids, aged 12 and 10, saw it and were immediately very impressed. It's beautifully designed and has tons of cool little features like the ability to use your camera to practice light signals. I can't imagine how people back in the day learned proper rhythms without a computer catching their mistakes.
