I would have loved for them to offer a few improvements though. 1) save your results for different properties so you can easily access and customize (you can only export to an email). 2) input your own PMI 3) improve the scale for property taxes which currently stops at 10k. ### 4/5 — Not terrible *2019-07-08, version 2.8.2* The app’s a little confusing to sort through at first. You can’t swipe to go back like you can on a lot of other apps. However, the app runs smoothly and is a pretty good way to calculate how much home you can afford. Fun fact: A recent study of over 10,000 millionaires found that the average self-made millionaire paid off their home in about a decade, and never refinanced thereafter. So maybe the 15-year option with no prepayment penalty is a smart move. ### 5/5 — User selected fields are missing amounts *2018-01-27, version 2.7.85* It’s near impossible to use the payment calculator because many of the fields are missing the amounts that have been selected. For example: Home price, interest rate %, property tax amount, home owners insurance amount. While the total monthly amount is displayed at the top Poe chart these individual amounts need to be added with their selection section. Thanks! ### 4/5 — What happened to the numbers I key in???? *2018-01-18, version 2.7.85* The app has been great until recently but then all the numbers I key in for the mortgage calculator are now gone and I have no idea what the amount, percentage rate, or anything I'm entering in. Also the more I type in on the calculator everything drops lower and lower on my screen as I type...makes no sense and very frustrating. I still really like the app but that needs to be fixed soon or I’ll find another mortgage app to use. ### 5/5 — Can’t see the inputs *2018-01-13, version 2.7.85* Like other recent reviews, I can’t seem to see the input values for purchase price, down payment, etc. I like the idea of visual simplicity with the slide bar adjustment, but overall useless if I’m guessing what the inputs are. ### 4/5 — Love The Visual Simplicity *2018-01-10, version 2.7.85* I love the ease of the Zillow Mortgage App and have never had any issues for years, until now! I can’t figure out how to report it or fix it myself.... this is the only place I can think to report the bug. Please fix it! The numbers I key in are missing on the right hand side, you can’t see the purchase price, the downpayment percentage, or the interest rate %. I’ve updated my phone and the app and even shut down my phone, deleted the app and re-downloaded it. The slider bar works but you do not see what numbers are being calculated. This but should be fixed ASAP! ### 3/5 — Great app but Latest version buggy *2018-01-06, version 2.7.85* In the latest version on my iPhone 7 – none of the numbers show up on the sliders… I can adjust different variables such as price or interest-rate using the slider and see the resulting payment at the top, but I cannot see what price are interest-rate was selected. I have use this app for a couple years and loved it, until the recent updates. ### 4/5 — Numbers aren’t showing up. *2017-12-29, version 2.7.85* Great app, I’ve used it plenty before, but for some reason right now, non of the numbers are showing up.. it’s just the little track bar. As a Real Estate Broker, I used this app almost everyday. One day it completely changed. Now it no longer shows either percentage or numerical values when inputting numbers. Too bad as I was very fast at using it. ### 5/5 — Used to be a Perfect little app *2017-12-26, version 2.7.85* New review: Doesn’t work anymore! I can’t see the numbers in the calculator. It’s all blank. I have the newest iOS and an iPhone X. This worked on my iPhone 6 but not on the new phone. My old review: Includes not only a mortgage calculator but an affordability calculator. Very useful and allows you to play around with different scenarios and see how much mortgage you can take on. The app is small in size, quick, and not at all buggy. But with this new update, it seems when you go to add the numbers it’s blank. Over that time the functionality of it has pretty much stayed the same: calculate how much house you can afford and calculate how much your mortgage will be. For the last 6 months, the function to put numbers in to the equation has been broken. It is now broken to the point where I can’t make any calculation. I love this app so this is very disappointing. ### 1/5 — Used to be GREAT, now TOTALLY USELESS! *2018-01-05, version 2.7.85* I’ve used this app for a few years now, both on my iPhone and iPad. Recently all the numeric input values are not visible - loan amount, down payment, interest rate, etc., so the current version makes it totally useless to use! I’ve seen others make the same comment. Even before this change, the input screen limited seeing what you were changing. Also, does not save the interest rate I would enter from session to session, which has been very frustrating. The changes made to this app over the past year made once was a great app, first only good, and now totally useless. ### 2/5 — OK, but there are better ones out there *2021-07-17, version 2.8.2* This app is decent, but let me tell you you should have the ability to type in exact numbers instead of using a scroll bar to choose your mortgage amount and down payment. For example I was trying to put a certain number and it was not available, so this definitely needs some work ### 2/5 — Great until recently. *2018-01-29, version 2.7.85* I have used this app for years and it has always given me reliable mortgage estimates. Recently the app has been giving me problems and there have been no updates to solve the problem. In my app I am not longer able to actually input the mortgage price. That place where I used to type in the home price just disappeared one day and no update has been released to solve the problem. ### 2/5 — Would be great if they fixed it for iOS 11 *2017-11-08, version 2.7.85* Bug makes this otherwise good app completely useless. On opening app everything’s great but as soon as you manually enter a number into one of the sliders the screen drops down to the bottom half and makes it impossible to use the app. Tried to uninstall and reinstall, same thing. If they fixed this it would be 5 stars. ### 2/5 — Seems simple but has uneasy interactions *2016-05-09, version 2.7.85* Rather frustrating to get the sliders to the proper numbers and then get the numeric pad when you tap on a number by mistake, and then can't get out of the number pad or worse, delete the value. Rather complicated to set to proper values, little explanation of each slider meaning. Prob not for those who want to learn or big thumbed people. ### 3/5 — Wha happened???? *2018-02-10, version 2.7.85* Loved this app but it developed a lot of issues in the last couple of months. I keep waiting for someone to fix it, but still nothing. Using an iPhone 7 and you can’t see the numbers you’re punching into the calculator and it renders the whole thing to be useless. Switching soon if there is no fix. ### 3/5 — Need to fix glitches *2018-01-24, version 2.7.85* This app used to be amazing! We used it frequently when shopping for a home. However, it now limits your field of view more every time you select an area or a number you need to edit. The numbers don’t show up at the top like they used to, and overall it is quite glitchy now. I have an iphone7 and my husband has a 7+. We both have experienced the same issues for about a year now. It is quite sad. Otherwise I would have given the app 5 stars. ### 3/5 — Last update has problems *2018-01-19, version 2.7.85* This app was the best but the recent update took away the ability to see numbers when putting in the numbers. So I don’t know what numbers are being typed in. It’s happening on both my iPhone and my iPad so it’s not a glitch on my device. Please fix this. If this gets fixed it will be a five star. ### 3/5 — Purchase price no longer a data point??? *2018-01-13, version 2.7.85* This was a 4 star app. Only issue was resetting the figures sometimes didn't work and would have to close app and restart. Otherwise, a great tool for quick glance numbers. Now it appears the slide bar for purchase price has been dumbed down to our toggle just payment amount. Kind of like how slimy car salesmen convince you to ignore what you pay for a car and focus on your monthly payment. I want the purchase price to be clear. I don't see how this exercise is useful without that. Hope this comes back in future updates. Why do these numbers fluctuate? Why do the numbers not remain the same until the house has been appraised and ready to close. Even if the appraiser doesn’t view this site. I believe anyone viewing the Zillow info chart online may believe that those numberm are accurate & reached by qualified licensed person? ### 5/5 — Love it *2022-04-17, version 2.8.2* I love this calculator- I only have one suggestion! Can we please not lump HOA fee and Property taxes into one payment within the calculation pie-diagram, it’s nice to see what makes up each payment - thank you! ### 5/5 — US Bank Mortgage Lender *2022-02-12, version 2.8.2* I want thank Zillow for this mortgage app. I just purchased a home and found US Bank. The experience was outstanding. My US Bank mortgage loan executive Denny Bennett was outstanding. He was able to execute the mortgage and close within 30 days. He was extremely communicative throughout the process! By the way, I had used this app back in 2014 to shop for rates. Other features are good like payment calculator etc. ### 5/5 — One Stop Shopping *2018-11-22, version 2.8.2* Zillow can find you House for sale/rent, lot for sale or rent an apartment. Set your parameters and you have results. On the top it is connected with local county property site. From property tax tab it will tell you complete value history and can also take you to county tax website directly for that particular property. Where you can see real detailed property description and tax payments history. Zillow calculator app can give you idea of monthly payment without going to banker. If you request for finance the house, someone may call within reasonable time. Zillow made the house buying so easy. ### 5/5 — Has some bugs. *2018-02-10, version 2.7.85* I really enjoy the app. I find that it has some bugs, which are aggravating. It is difficult to change an entry when you make a mistake on the home affordability calculator. The screen is covered sometimes by what is supposed to be the final number that you can afford. What this does is block the top of the screen to where you can’t see what you are inputting. Very frustrating. I tend to give up. The idea behind it is great. Just would like for it to function as Intended. ### 5/5 — Used to be great *2018-02-07, version 2.7.85* I used this app all the time, and about a few months ago there is a glitch on my iPhone 7plus to where I can’t see the amount of the loan that I am inputting.
