I’m a huge fan of Morts YouTube channel, but I’m so relieved that I can now listen to his stories with my phone locked!! This app is amazing! Mort you did a great job and I know you’ll continue to do more amazing things with this. I’ve listened to your stories for at least 3 years now. And continue to keep up with new ones every upload. One thing I will say, which doesn’t affect the experience; but I’d say the layout/aesthetics just needs a little polishing… which I know are in the works. I’ve gone back to YouTube ### 3/5 — Sadly disappointed and cannot use it to fall asleep *2024-07-27* I gave 3 stars because I enjoy Mort a lot, but I'm very frustrated that my intended purpose of using this app was to fall asleep to it with no interruptions that jarring awaken me. It plays well enough, but it went through all 3hrs in one night. It will not allow me to listen to them again as a continuous playlist. It will only play the clip I click on and once that one finishes it closes the app! So I literally missed all those stories. Cannot fall asleep in 3.5 minutes which some clips are about that long. Unless this is some sort of way to get people to pay and subscribe.... I dont mind listening to the same story since its easier to fall asleep to 2) i wish the favorite and history sections were more organized 3) weird thing now that since i have no more stories left, when i listen to saved or history stories the app plays one story and then crashes on me. Or maybe just quits! Why not play the other stories on the list? I recently went away and realised I was unable to fall asleep without that background noise and then I remembered Mort had mentioned his app. I downloaded it and I was so pleased to be able to still slip peacefully into slumber. Love the ability to layer the sounds & even change the background image. Love you Mortis 🌘🌠 ### 5/5 — Bedtime stories *2022-09-29* I’d give the stories a 10+ star if I could. I listen to him every night falling asleep, the only down fall I have with downloading the app, that I didn’t have with YouTube, is that the app over heats my phone. I think that’s because the Mortis app uses more gigabytes than YouTube or possibly because I’m using Wi-Fi to listen, so hopefully whenever my service is paid my phone will stop over heating itself. ### 5/5 — Relaxing, scary and totally worth it! *2022-07-23* I almost exclusively listen to scary stories while I’m working so I was very excited when this app came out. I used to listen to Morts stories on YouTube but the ads got annoying and when I have too many programs open YouTube lags. I went through all the free stories and decided to subscribe- only $10 for lifetime access and endless stories is so worth it! The sound effects are a lot of fun to play around with too and I love that you can choose a story genre.
