Lost money booking a closed down game because of the link from this app. Deleted straight after ### 1/5 — Quick uninstall *2021-10-30, version 1.6.2* Downloaded to find escape rooms and had to provide my email and other personal information only to be told I’m added to some list. Had to go to the escape room’s direct website and book without a discount. ### 3/5 — Great, but missing key experience data *2024-12-30* I've been using the Escapes notebook app, and decided to use Morty. While Morty seems like a better maintained app, and works better, what I like about Escapes is that it has a Statistics section that gives me an overview of my avg escape time, shortest escape time, breakdown of escape rooms I've done by cities, genre, etc. This is especially cool for me to track because I always try to do an escape rooms at every city and country I visit. The other thing I wish Morty can do is for me to indicate how many people I had in my experience without having them get a Morty account. I like just being able to quickly note how many people were in my group in the Escapes app. Since I have to manually add my previous escapes again in Morty, I figured it's not even worth continuing to retroactively add without the key features I want. ### 4/5 — Great tool *2026-01-19, version 1.51.0* Great way to find escape rooms. However, one of the main benefits is marking, which rooms we have completed and now I will no longer show me?! I can search under my list, but it is not showing me the complete list of rooms. One of the first things I do when planning a trip is to check out morty for the top rated escapes in that area and wishlist them. Love that it shows if a room has won awards (including Best of Morty!) because if I am gonna spend $40 on an escape I want to make sure it’s good ykwim. It also is perfect to read reviews of rooms and get all the information as to level of challenge and theming.
