Not worth the $$ ### 1/5 — Missing drugs *2019-02-06* I’ve been a nurse for a while and in my downtime I look up random drugs and have found this app to be woefully lacking on the drugs I want to know more about. In 3 months, I have come across 19 drugs we have used but are not listed in this reference. At which point you’ve wasted $45.00, because the “drug information/database” is old, outdated, incomplete, and lacking in content (current drugs, et al) **Developer response:** We appreciate your feedback. The current version offers the most up-to-date content as released by the publisher. Couldn't find mitotane or fosfomycin today. When I was searching for some of the drugs I needed to look ( they are not new drugs either) I couldn't find them or there classification. A number of pulmonary agents are missing. The company has no interest in improving the listings. It has a huge list of drugs...none of which you can actually see info on. Thousands of drugs listed, only a handful of obscure ones you can even look at. Not categorized and searchable by drug class or disease or anything. Cannot customize what info to show first for each drug. It may help to utilize the universal search option (magnifying glass icon) to find available drugs. We were able to find results for (generic versions of) Ventolin and Diclectin. The nursing one is great, but it doesn’t contain all of the dental contraindications that the book has. If you and your husband use the same Mosby's account, then your Favorites will be combined. These accounts are intended for individual use. If you wish to have your own accounts and Favorites lists, it would be necessary to purchase a second account. Yes that dates me. However, it has always been a very reliable resource for information about medications I administered to my patients. It was also an excellent resource for my nursing students, and one that they could take with them into the nursing field after graduation. The drugs have always been listed alphabetically by generic name, which initially not all references did. This is invaluable in looking up drugs more quickly. Having the drug reference is very helpful, even now that I am retired. I still get asked questions by others. I can quickly look up the information on the app in my phone without having to take the time to do an internet search. It is just a great reference, back in the day and today. Every time I search norco or hydrocodone hydrochlorothiazide comes up. Meds are missing too. Aim a retired RN. Since I bought this(about 2 Weeks ago) I have looked up probably about 6 medicines. At least 3 wasn't in the drug book. Some of these were old medicines and should nave been. I downloaded "Webb MD Drugs" and every medicine I look up is in it. It was free!!! Looks like I wasted 45 dollars!!!
