## What is Moshi?

A mobile terminal designed for AI coding agents. Your coding agent runs on a server — you're not always at your desk. Moshi bridges that gap.

BUILT FOR AI AGENTS
Check on Claude Code from the couch. Nudge Codex from the coffee shop. Monitor Cursor, Windsurf, Copilot, or Aider from anywhere. Your agent doesn't sleep, and now neither does your access to it.

TALK, DON'T TYPE
Voice-to-terminal with on-device AI. Command your agent hands-free using Whisper speech recognition. No cloud, no latency — everything runs locally on your device.

NEVER DROPS
Powered by the Mosh protocol that survives network switches, sleep mode, and subway tunnels. Your session stays alive no matter what.

GET NOTIFIED
Webhook alerts when tasks complete. Start a long-running job, pocket your phone, and live your life. Get a push notification when it's done.

FACE ID FOR SSH KEYS
Biometric unlock for your SSH keys. Private keys stored securely in iOS Keychain, protected by Face ID or Touch ID. Never stored in the app.

PROPER KEYBOARD
A terminal keyboard built for real work. Ctrl, Esc, Tab, arrows, and Tmux shortcuts. Not an afterthought — designed for terminal power users.

SESSION RESUME
Sessions persist across app switches. Come back anytime and pick up where you left off. Your terminal state is always waiting.

PRIVACY FIRST
- SSH keys stored in iOS Keychain with biometric protection
- Voice dictation runs entirely on-device
- No passwords or keys transmitted to our servers
- All terminal data stays on your device

A terminal that picks up — and never hangs up.

### 4/5 — Great start but

*2026-08-21*

Need to fix copy, paste and scrolling. This is so frustrating. I cannot select and drag down all the text I want to copy. There is no easy way, also the scrolling skips lines, not a smooth scrolling experience.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review, and sorry about the friction. Dragging a selection past the visible screen is a real limitation today. For long output the reliable route is to have your agent write it to a file and copy that to the clipboard over OSC 52: getmoshi.app/docs/clipboard. On scrolling, run inside tmux — with the right tmux settings you get proper scrollback and smooth line-by-line scrolling instead of the jumps: getmoshi.app/docs/scrolling. Happy to dig in at support@getmoshi.app.

### 2/5 — Good idea, poor engineering

*2026-08-20*

Incredibly buggy, frequent restarts needed to resume tmux sessions. Messy, unintuitive interface. I want to love it but I can't when I have to restart the application 3x in 10 min after switching apps to resume a session. Horribly inefficient battery wise as well, drains my battery faster than apps that keep persistent connections in the background

Advice: take a step back, refactor and improve efficiency of the engine before attempting to tack on more features

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review — glad Moshi's otherwise working for agentic coding from your phone. The background behavior is a deliberate design choice: we don't keep connections alive in the background, so Moshi doesn't drain your battery. If you want sessions to survive switching apps, use mosh instead of SSH — a mosh session resumes right where it left off even if the app gets killed entirely.

### 5/5 — Straightforward & Empowering

*2026-08-15*

Free tier actually let the app prove its worth, to help me know I wanted to buy. Bugs and glitches for sure with some features like image attachments being worst offender in my experience. Dev is shipping a lot of improvements quickly. I think it’s a nice extensible product for trying to get your iPhone more capable of keeping work going on desktop / parallel mobile versions. Moshi is a flexible app I have enjoyed.

**Developer response:** Thank you — really glad the free tier gave you room to decide for yourself, and that Moshi is holding up as a way to keep desktop work going from your phone.

Noted on image attachments. If you hit something specific there, support@getmoshi.app comes straight to me.

### 2/5 — The QR code connection is not working properly

*2026-08-14, version 3.12.2*

The QR code connection is not working properly

**Developer response:**

### 1/5 — Buggy with iPad

*2026-08-11*

The toolbar, critical for use without a full size keyboard, doesn’t work with iPad, it just doesn’t show up. Sucks.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the review, and sorry about the trouble. The toolbar is off by default — you can turn it on under Settings → Keyboard, and it should show up from then on. If it still doesn't appear after that, write to support@getmoshi.app and we'll sort it out with you.

**Developer response:**

### 5/5 — Delivers an awesome and feature rich experience

*2026-08-07*

Moshi performs incredibly well, has a ton of helpful features, and has integrated and expanded my workflow to my iPad with Magic Keyboard + phone. It’s opened the door to a ton more productivity during periods when I’m away from my home setup, giving me many more options. One more callout - the development team is extremely active, is super receptive to feedback and delivers new features continually. Great app, thank you for building!

**Developer response:** Thank you! Really glad it fits the iPad and phone together like that — that combo is exactly what we build for. Enjoy.

### 5/5 — Finally app that works!

*2026-08-06, version 3.12.0*

Cant stop working :-)
