One of the worse HOS apps I’ve ever had to use. ### 1/5 — The worst ELD app there is *2026-08-19, version 107.1* Unbelievable unreliable will not stay connected when you turn off the engine. Disconnect while driving. The pre-trip category is like you rebuilding a truck. You have to put your truck number in every time it gets disconnected or when you log out and have to log back in although we drive the same truck every day. It’s just not a good investment for anybody nevertheless the trucking industry. I cannot give it any stars unless it’s minus stars. ### 1/5 — Does not support multi-connection Bluetooth. *2026-08-10* The Motive ELD program does not support Bluetooth multi-connection. When the ELD device is connected to an IOS device, the ELD connection will constantly cause the other connected devices to disconnect and reconnect on a loop. Even when the ELD is “forgotten” from the connected device list, the ELD will still try and brute force connect to the iOS device, disrupting all other Bluetooth connections. The artificial intelligence often behaves stupidly. To be fair, (this is the third electronic logbook I’ve used since they became mandatory and) none of them have worked well. But this one is the first to use AI, and it infuriates me that the AI has the authority to judge people. ### 1/5 — Battery hungry *2026-08-03* Garbage app. Even with Background App Refresh turned off, if you don’t force close the app, it drains your phone’s battery. I’ve had my battery drop from 70% to 30% overnight just because the app was left open. It also doesn’t properly support Canadian sleeper berth rules. It incorrectly shows drivers as being in violation when they are fully compliant. Thank you! ### 5/5 — Made easy for you *2026-08-03, version 106.1* Made easy to use and help is always there one phone call ### 1/5 — Bluetooth nightmare *2026-08-02, version 106.0* DONT BUY THIS FOR YOUR FLEET! It disconnects from your headset, even during calls. Your camera will yell at you if you don’t leave the app running in the background of your phone every 10 minutes. Sometimes you get stuck and drive mode and can’t change your status. Overall, this is the worst ELD I’ve had so far. I’ve contemplated leaving my job because of it. ### 1/5 — As if it’s a soul contract *2026-07-26* I used Motive for a few years and loved it, I had a super great representative always calling and checking in on what I needed. Then unfortunate circumstances had arrived with out 1 truck company and we went out of business shortly after renewing a 1 year subscription. They will hound you every week day like a blood thirsty vampire for payment. Most professional companies will simply say sorry to hear your situation and end the contract, they refuse to understand anything other than $$$. Up until our loss of everything and the company they would have been 5 Star review Reply to response. Obviously the response wasn’t well understood, I enjoyed Motive until the lack of understanding that a client that no longer uses or has funding for subscription can’t pay so emailing and calling with hanging up upon answering is rather over the top for a simple subscription that could be cancelled. Version 106.0 United States Report a Concern. ### 1/5 — Motive Connector *2026-07-23, version 106.0* I actually bought a new phone to fix my connectivity issues. It worked in the sense that my phone connected to my logbook. All I have to do every morning is forget the device and then re-pair. I’m lucky, I get to do it through out the day too. Unfortunately it has only been going on for a little over 6 months.
