I enjoy the video style of app it is to explore more creators/skillrs. I sent a text about 3 weeks ago and never got a response. I’m still waiting to hear back from them on a simple follow-up question about completely deleting my information from their system. If you’re a tarot reader, try another platform. It’ll be far less frustrating, and you’ll actually get clients. ### 1/5 — changed to astrology only *2023-05-26* one day they just changed the entire app, which had all kinds of skills you could do like cooking, tutoring, painting, etc. to only astrology, tarot, and fake spiritual stuff. it’s so weird and makes no sense to rebrand like that. also, one day they actually called my number just to tell me i need to update the app…what the heck?? deleted. **Developer response:** Thank you for checking us out, you caught us at an awkward moment since we are about to launch the new version of the app. If you update you'll see a place holder for what is coming. All Reviews Before May 2023 Are For A Very Different App *2023-05-15* I signed up for Skillr when it was new. I used it to give guitar lessons and was planning on getting some fitness advice and learn a little Russian but as of May 2023, the app has changed to ONLY astrology. I’m sorry that I spent so much time on it, if I knew it would turn into nothing but astrology, I never would have bothered. Please note that all the five star reviews are from earlier, since it changed to astrology it’s gotten only single star reviews. ### 1/5 — Bait and Switch? *2023-05-05* How did this go from a platform for experts to reading horoscopes overnight? I signed up last week to provide coaching services and now it shows things like tarot cards! Is this a scam? ### 1/5 — SCAM- App Changed without notice *2023-05-05* App changed without notice and now you can’t edit your profile, choose new category of skills or anything. No warning, just changed the whole concept. This is shady to the full extent. **Developer response:** Thank you for your review. We take feedback very seriously and strive to accommodate our users. Videos are buffering even though I have a solid connection and speed tests indicate my connection is over 100 mbs. I created an account and waited to start messaging a professional for more info and that does not work (messaging). I don’t know if this is growing pains or standard faire with this application. I will try again and if it works I will revise my review. I am excited to hour sometime, sad it does not work. Too many negative reviews too. **Developer response:** Hi, thanks for your feedback. It continues to mark me as unavailable, even though I’ve made it clear many times that I’m available. Also, when I try and answer calls, it will literally kick me out of the Skillr phone call. Iva head problems EVEN with the developers of the app. I don’t want to throw in the towel. I’m getting really close, though. We hope you enjoy the new version when it arrives. ### 1/5 — For providers *2022-03-10, version 1.1.7* Please know that if you plan to become a provider on this app that they rotate people so you won’t always be visible to seekers on the app. I was on the app for almost a month and never saw my profile. I finally left the app. I think it’s a good concept just not efficient if you really want to sell your skills. **Developer response:** Hi, this has been fixed in the newest version. You can now scroll, and scroll, and scroll through all Skillrs in a Skill. We will also have things like Search and Direct Links to your profile coming soon so you can be found easier. I had a comedian come into my home and entertain my holiday. Guess I did a psychic, reading, yoga session, relationship advice, career coaching off, and the comfort of my home each session lasted about 20 minutes $20 investment in my self.
