Bare bones. *2025-09-02, version 5.1* I love motorsport. I want to love the fact that this app has so many motorsports series from around the globe, but I don’t. It’s confusing, badly categorised, doesn’t work on Apple TV, and so on. In fact, I think it’s actually got worse, not better, over the months since I purchased it. This content could be amazing but the app doesn’t make searching and watching easy. I really think a design and functionality overhaul is long overdue. ### 2/5 — Chaos *2025-06-15* Have had this app for years. More than a decade. When I got an email telling me that I could watch the Canadian GP with my app was pretty stoked since I dumped cable and didn’t want to by a cyber ticket. When tuning in find that the feed quality was horrendous! Commenters get 3 seconds of words then audio chops for 3 seconds. Download the app to Apple TV and find it’s actually a different feed with the same problem. The internet speed from where I am is very fast for high content. Would not recommend. Over 3/4 of the content is gone including content that I have paid for. Don’t get scammed, avoid this app!!!! ### 4/5 — Very good *2025-05-05, version 2.2.37* Exceptional customer service, I thought there was a problem with the app, turns out there wasn’t but the customer service was amazing, very kind and very fast and they even updated me about the status of a race. And I can finally watch British super bikes in Canada. Great app for lesser known series and the subscription is nice and cheap 👍😁 ### 1/5 — No Google cast support *2025-03-08* The app does not appear to support Google cast to your Android TV. A must have feature for me ### 1/5 — Not very good *2025-02-17, version 2.2.37* Shows racing videos, but the narrative is disjointed, definitely not worth subscribing to. I wanted to see footage that documented THE ENTIRE SEASON of EVERY RACING SERIES. Most archive footage is boring qualifying rounds, not the actual footage I’d like to see, which would be coverage of the events that come after the qualifiers, which means the events that are ACTUALLY DEFINITIVE. Nice load of bull you tiny journalists produced that can’t afford to cover the events that decide who is the champion. The journalistic coverage is also horrifyingly awful. Most discussion is focused on the cars. Vapid and vacuous statements are often made on mostly qualifying events, such as, “oh, what a surprise, that Aston Martin got ahead of the Lambo on that corner.” My best and most polite way to describe this app is with one word: TRASH. Too bad. It’s like these journalists don’t know how to drive. Oh yeah, the coverage by the journalists is horrid. It sounds like they played a lot of Forza Motorsport and haven’t had much study on the topic of racing. ### 3/5 — App is good but…. *2024-08-14, version 2.2.36* The app is great but you can’t airplay to chromecast. Therefore not worth it for me. Can only watch on my phone, therefore I’m unsubscribing. ### 1/5 — Paid $49.99 and No Access *2023-12-10* I paid for the year long membership. Anytime I try to watch anything it only allows me the two minute preview. Even if I click on trying to pay the $49.99 again it tells me I am already subscribed. Kind regards, Motorsport.tv Tech Support ### 1/5 — Paid the subscription but still seeing ads *2023-07-25, version 2.2.30* Happy with the app so far generally..but the fact an advert came up during the break despite they describe the subscription package as being ‘ad free’ is misleading. Shame ### 2/5 — Resolution isn’t acceptable *2023-06-23, version 2.2.30* I REALLY,REALLY want to love this app! But for some reason the resolution is terrible. I could probably tolerate a 720p stream but this has to be at 360 or 420p with no option to adjust quality. It’s just not good enough. The content is amazing and I’d likely subscribe with HD resolution but it just isn’t up to it. Love some feedback on why the resolution is so bad. ### 1/5 — $20/month for something that doesn’t work! *2023-02-04, version 2.2.28* Rarely does the app work but they’ll be glad to take your money! ### 2/5 — A good value service lacking many common features. *2022-09-21, version 2.2.24* I use this app to watch WEC races as it has a lower cost than other services here in the UK. Discovery + Sports costing £7/month, and the WEC app costing £5/race. It’s other content is also good such as live Super GT, Super Formula races and old race highlight shows from Duke. Despite the content of the app being enjoyable it lacks: -background play (so you can’t watch it in a pop up window while using other apps and you can’t even change your brightness without the video pausing). - A watchlist/watch history (for live videos this is fine but if you are watching past races or highlight shows like I mentioned above you have to make a note elsewhere of the show name and how far into it you have got -alternative audio tracks (this is minor but on Discovery + for WEC races you can set the audio to ‘ambient sound’ where you can here the race but not the commentary, it’s a nice thing to have) In summary, I like the content of this app but the app itself isn’t a nice experience. Other services provide a better streaming app and if it wasn’t for exclusive content like Super GT and lower prices I’d use them. ### 1/5 — Use the website instead *2022-09-05* This app is full of bugs and is missing 99% of the features. You’re better off using the website. I could never get Airplay to work with this absolutely terrible, frustrating, bloated and useless app. App also has terrible video quality. It’s like it defaults to 240p on purpose. It also appears that the developer has no plans to ever update the app. Do yourself a favor and delete. The idea of watching a whole race on my phone seems ridiculous to me. Unless the subscription unlocks the option of using chromecast, I feel this app is completly pointless ### 1/5 — Not good… *2022-05-05, version 2.2.22* If you enjoy watching nothing but a spinning buffering icon, then this is the app for you, the loading times are measured in ice ages, the stream breaks so often it's like watching a flip book, the technical support assumes you have at least a masters degree in computer programming. I gave up and now stream using youtube. Its simple and it just works. This is a spinning buffering waste of time. AND you need to pay for it. App constantly shutting off, can’t continue watching where I left off, often times cannot find the content at all. ### 1/5 — It can’t be this bad *2025-09-20* Unfortunately this is the only option for the US to see the BSB series in 2025. The app continuously crashes — crashes mid live event and crashes during replay — ever single time I use it on any Apple device. When a crash occurs during a replay event, you have to start from the beginning and try to find where you were. BSB feeds are minimal with live events starting mid first lap and ending without interviews. Most of the time you don’t even have player controls available. If it were free, I’d have little to complain about, but this is a paid service. It could be one of the worst motorsport streaming apps available. And, unfortunately, the only option for some of us. ### 1/5 — Get it together *2025-08-03* This app worked perfectly months ago and now I can’t log in on both the app and website and I can’t watch the 8 hours of suzuka. It shouldn’t be this hard when I want to pay you to watch a race ### 1/5 — App trash *2025-07-12* App no good can’t even sign in I’ll watch on YouTube. ### 1/5 — FIX THIS!!! *2025-06-22* The app works on my iPhone, but the app on the AppleTV is garbage. I complained to customer service about a month ago, and it’s still impossible to log into with an existing account. The only way I got it to work last month was to resubscribe, and then got refunded for the double charge. There is so much great content on here. If only there was a way to watch it. ### 1/5 — Awful *2025-06-22* I am really kind of upset about this because they stole the Nurburgring 24 hour stream. And then made it so no one could watch. This is infuriating. Don’t take over streams and then have them break after the first two hours. I have uninstalled the app and suggest anyone else to do so. The login process is seemingly impossible because my subscription is through the Apple App Store. Even when I click the register/log in button it just wants me to create a new account. I’ve had nothing but issues with this poorly made app for years, it’s honestly a joke. $5.99 a month for what you guys provide is a waste of money. I’ll be canceling my subscription. I’ve logged onto the app and though your website today to find that my streaming rights have been stripped from my account, the app won’t allow me to restore my subscription and your website is even lacking the option to restore premium content. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. Can’t even lodge a complaint through the app, even when logged in. Pathetic pathetic pathetic.
