Eight word games in one app, in Catalan, German, English and Spanish. A quick round on the bus, or a proper sit-down with the crossword: it's all in here. THE GAMES Wordle: guess the five-letter word in six tries. Green means right letter, right spot. Yellow means right letter, wrong spot. Spelling Bee: seven letters in a honeycomb. Build words of four letters or more, and the middle one always has to be in there. Letter Boxed: twelve letters around the four sides of a square. Each word starts where the last one ended, and you can't chain two letters from the same side. Connections: sixteen words, four secret groups of four. Some of them look like they belong in two groups at once. That's the trap. Cipher: a phrase with every letter swapped for another one. Crack a single letter and the rest starts falling on its own. Synonyms: a word, its definition, and four candidates. You get one heart, so read it properly. Classics: a classic book, its cover, and five questions about it. Crossword: a 5x5 grid where every row and every column reads as a word. A CHALLENGE EVERY DAY Each day picks three of the eight games. Finish all three to keep your streak alive and take your spot on the daily leaderboard. There's an all-time board too, if you're in it for the long game. Five by five, and every row and every column reads as a word. Also new: - Medals. Fifteen of them, for streaks, milestones and trying a bit of every game. They sit on the Stats tab and they pay out coins. - A second streak, counting the days you open the app, next to the one counting the days you finish the challenge. - The first time you open a game, a couple of tips explain the rules you'd otherwise only learn by losing. - Fun facts now arrive from the top of the screen instead of stopping your game. Synonyms got a proper rework. Every word comes with its pronunciation and its part of speech, like a dictionary entry, and at the end there's a tier of rare words: the ones you understand but never actually say. You only get one heart now, which is why a replay costs 12 coins instead of 20. Fixed: - Right after you scored, the leaderboard sometimes put you in the wrong place. - The all-time board could stay empty until you switched tabs and back. - Puzzles you finished before the leaderboards existed now count towards your all-time score. - New avatars, and a good clean-up pass over all the artwork. ### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-25 Version 1.1.1 fixes things you told us about: - Winning a level now saves it and unlocks the next one. This affected every game, and Synonyms and Classics most of all. - Finishing a Synonyms puzzle shows the result right on the screen, with no dialog over it. - The nickname you pick now shows up straight away on the daily and all-time leaderboards. - The gold, silver and bronze crowns now tell the top three apart, even when they are tied. ### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-25 Version 1.1.0 is our biggest update yet: - A completely redesigned experience that's clearer, more modern and more playful. - Three new games: Cipher, Synonyms and Classics. - A new daily challenge with streaks and rewards. - Daily and all-time leaderboards, complete with your own profile, nickname and avatar. - Coin rewards for opening the app each day, completing the daily challenge and sharing for the first time that day. - Your existing progress is preserved and now counts towards the all-time leaderboard. - Improved dictionaries and fixes across Spelling Bee, Letter Boxed and Connections. ### 1.0.2 — 2026-04-21 Bug fixes: - Fixed an issue in Spelling Bee where the game would not end when all words were found. ### 1.0.1 — 2026-04-07 Initial release of Mots with four word games: Wordle, Spelling Bee, Letter Boxed, and Connections.
