## What is Mottai?

Mottai tracks when everything at home expires and how much you have left — so food, groceries and cosmetics never go bad forgotten.

■ Scan to log in seconds (free)
Scan a barcode to fill in the name, then add expiry date, opened date, quantity, location and purchase source. You can also let the camera read the name and expiry date for you — on-device.

■ Scan to check stock (free)
Scan a barcode in the store to see how many you already have — across your items and every shared group — so you never double-buy. No match? Add it, or from Control Center.

■ Shopping list (free)
Keep a list solo or shared with family. Add items by hand or from low-stock and running-low suggestions; check one off to log it straight into stock.

■ Reminders before it expires
Multi-stage reminders (same day, 3 days, 7 days before…) at your chosen time. Each category can set a default timing, applied to new items.

■ Running-low reminders (Full Version)
Mottai learns from recent usage to estimate how many days each item lasts and reminds you to restock before you run out — with an "about N days left" tag. Shared members get these too.

■ Track items unit by unit (batches)
Buy the same item in separate lots with different expiry dates — each unit is tracked and used up on its own, with its own price and source.

■ Review tab: history & stats (free)
A "Review" tab unites history and stats: a timeline of what you used or discarded, when and how much — personal and shared — then overviews, categories and expiry views.

• Free trial: the first month is free; after the trial it auto-renews at NT$60 / month, cancel anytime.
• What you get: shared groups with real-time notifications on member changes; invited family join free.
• The Full Version is a one-time purchase, not a subscription.

Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. After any free trial, the subscription auto-renews unless turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within that 24-hour window. Manage or turn off auto-renewal in your App Store account settings after purchase.

### 1.7.0 — 2026-08-20

New Shopping List: keep a list of what to buy — solo or shared with family. Mottai also suggests what to restock from your low-stock and running-low items in one tap; check one off after buying and it opens straight into logging it into your stock. Scanning is smarter too: besides barcodes, the camera can now read the product name and expiry date from the package — live or from a photo, all on-device. Stats and consumption history are merged into a single "Review" tab (switch between stats and history up top). The Items tab is reorganized too: a speed-dial button combines scan and add, search is always visible, and sorting moved to the right for a cleaner look.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-08-18

Stats now support Family Sharing: use the space switcher at the top left to view the overview, categories, expiry breakdown and spending insights for your personal items and each shared group separately — the title shows which space you're in. We also fixed a rare issue where some users who bought the Full Version or subscribed were mistakenly treated as free (items stuck at 20, couldn't add categories) — returning to the app now re-checks your purchase automatically, and Settings offers clearer "Restore Purchase" guidance if it's still locked.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-08-16

New "Running low" reminders: Mottai learns from your recent usage to estimate roughly how many days each item will last, and nudges you to restock before you run out — no more waiting until it expires or hits empty. Your list also shows an orange "about N days left" tag. Family members share these reminders too. Also: log price and purchase source per batch for sharper spending insights; scan to check stock straight from Control Center; and the Cloud plan now starts with a free first month.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-08-14

This update polishes Card Wallet: carrier and membership barcodes look sharper when enlarged and scan more reliably at the store; tapping the home-screen widget now opens the exact card you meant (fixing an earlier mis-tap); more card colors to choose from; and scan-to-add now warns you if a number is already saved, so no duplicates. We also upgraded the product database behind the scenes — scan-to-fill stays free and works just as before.

### 1.3.0 — 2026-08-13

This update helps you see what you have left — and what you’ve used up:

• Track items unit by unit (batches): buy the same item in separate lots with different expiry dates. Each unit is tracked and reminded on its own, so using or tossing one always adds up.
• Consumption history: a brand-new timeline of what you used or discarded, when, and how much you spent — personal and family-shared together. Tap any entry to jump back to the item.
• Dark Mode: choose Light, Dark, or Follow System.
• Purchase source: note where you bought something to make repurchasing easier.
• Per-category default reminders: set a default “remind me N days early” for each category, applied automatically to new items.
• Restock notifications: when someone restocks in a shared group, everyone gets notified.

List gestures are smoother too: swipe to move, swipe to handle, discard a single unit, and backfill dates on the fly.
