MottoMonitoring is designed to help dental professionals monitor the evolution of their patients’ orthodontic treatments remotely, between in-practice appointments. It can only be used under the supervision of a clinician, who provides patients with their personal login information. The MottoMonitoring app is intended to be used with the patented DM Cheek Retractor, to maximize the quality of each intraoral picture taken with patients’ smartphones. The app provides: • Ease of use: No technical expertise is needed to use MottoMonitoring. My 2 biggest gripes would be that they don’t seem to have any interfacing/communication with your doctors office, and that you can’t select what order you take the pictures in. This second one is really annoying for me. I assume most people are taking these pictures after they’ve brushed their teeth, which means you need to put in your aligners, take pictures, take out your aligners, take pictures, and put them back in. If the no-aligner pictures were placed first in order, or you could select which order you wanted to take pictures in it would make things much easier. ### 1/5 — Verification problem *2026-02-23* It’s won’t send a link email to my email ! ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2025-10-13* Made me download another app at one point and that never worked, so couldn’t continue. ### 1/5 — Annoying and ineffective app *2024-12-12* The scans are never good enough for the app and even if you turn off notifications, it constantly asks for you to enable them. The advice given has been poor, and most of my concerns have been brushed aside.
