### 3/5 — 2015/ UPDATE PLEASE

*2015-05-02, version 1.3*

There hasn't been any updates in a while. You guys probably won't update anytime soon, but just in case you guys do decide to update here are some very big bugs and suggestions:

1. When I exit the app and re-open it, the screen is stuck in potrait mode, which cuts it in half. (many people have this problem.)

2. Update it for the iPhone 5/5S/6/6 Plus

3. Update the look!

4. New icon!

5. More options as to what type of paper you want to use (the default looks like index cards/ there should be an option for other types, like notebook paper.)

### 3/5 — Pretty Good

*2014-01-31, version 1.3*

It is a great app, but I use it once, close out and when I go back in, it is flipped the wrong way and it says it cannot load file.

### 4/5 — Great Aplication

*2012-11-25, version 1.3*

I think would be very useful to have a COPY-PASTE Funtion, for moving words or group of words.

### 4/5 — Not bad

*2012-10-29, version 1.3*

Useful for casual notes.

### 4/5 — Great Application.

*2012-05-23, version 1.3*

I love this application. I have many uses for it. Now, there are a few issues I have with it, and some suggestions to go along with them.

1: There's no folders. I have lots of titled pages and always get frustrated about their freedom on the saved page. Maybe you could make a home screen with just folders, books, whatever that can be labeled and you can save work into them. This app works flawlessly in school situations, so this is why I bring this up.

2: I understand that the whole idea is to delete one word if you make a mistake or push undo. But for me,I have a huge habit of flipping my stylus around and attempting to erase. All I get is scribbles of black (or the color I'm using). Perhaps you could have an eraser button?

3: Keep on working on this. It's fabulous, despite my comments. The other apps I use are too complicated. Yours has its slight confusions, but is so much easier to use. Love it! And please take my input as just ideas and constructive criticism. I am not bashing the app. It is incredible. The four stars is only because I feel it looks under development.

### 4/5 — Smart, promising, needs improvement.

*2012-04-25, version 1.2.1*

An app with a smart and promising premise. Here are the drawbacks you will encounter:

1) Resulting PDFs are essentially unprintable, because the notebook-paper background has been given a grayscale gradient which looks nice on screen, but prints a nasty dark gray across the whole page when sent to a printer. So you can forget sending a letter to grandma. (App should simply render the PDF with a "clean" version of the background.) There is no background option that does not have this problem.

2) The PDF does not render your writing at a sufficiently high resolution to really look good. (Perhaps this will improve in later versions. Of course, ideally the strokes would be rendered as resolution-independent line art, but for the time being it is all rendered to bitmap graphics—hence the need for higher resolution.)

3) Captured strokes show an angularity that the stroke motion did not have. So some of the character of your handwriting is lost in translation. This gives resulting PDFs an artificial quality that they would not have otherwise. (If you look at some of the amazing pen apps coming out for iPad, you can appreciate how good the capture and rendering could be. (Something else you will come to crave when you look at those is a pen stroke that has just a bit of taper at the ends—which can go a long way toward giving a more nature look.)

4) App insists on trying to impose full justification on your pages of handwritten text. This results in unfortunate gap space being inserted between the stroke clusters (words or groups of words) no matter what setting you set for the spacing. This gives a quite unnecessary artificial quality to the resulting pages. And a strange design decision to take a convention that originates in printed books and impose it on a handwritten page! Pages should obviously be ragged-right by default. (There is no provision at all for languages that are written right-to-left or vertically.)

5) The app needs a refresh for the retina display iPad.

Most of these barriers to full glory do not run deep, but are the sort of simple changes we might expect to see in updates coming along. This app has a smart concept and great promise.

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2013-01-01, version 1.3*

Don't even bother with this app, it's difficult to use. It would be easier for me to walk the the store and get some actual paper.

### 1/5 — Awful

*2012-12-06, version 1.3*

Don't waste your time.

### 1/5 — 

*2011-08-26, version 1.2*

Sorry I don't get it.

### 2/5 — Ahhhh

*2014-08-20, version 1.3*

My first impression is, ick. It has it's merits and I have not used this app long enough to be fair but I'm giving you my first impression.
Will update if it's better after I've used it some.
Main complaint is and I'm not sure how to explain this but when writing I end up with half a word when I get to the end of the writing space.

### 2/5 — Really?

*2012-01-08, version 1.2.1*

This is not as controllable as Penultimate, which is much easier and user-friendly.
For free, I guess it's ok, but doesn't compare to Penultimate!

### 5/5 — Gr8 App

*2013-02-02, version 1.3*

Wonderful easy to use easy layout nice compatibility !!!

### 5/5 — the best of handwriting & word processing together

*2011-12-06, version 1.2.1*

This is my favorite iPad app. While nearly every competing app is so skeuomorphic they're worse than paper, this app upgrades writing by hand into the digital realm.

I find writing by hand easier and more expressive than typing, but like the option to resize the text, re-wrap lines, and go back and add words or paragraphs without needing to erase my work. This app does that and more. I hope the rest of the note-taking app programmers take notice.

### 5/5 — Sweet and Simple

*2011-09-11, version 1.2*

Easy information capturing system. It is open on my desk for quick lists, a fast note. Clear input with your finger or stylus.n

The perfect "scrap paper" APP.

### 5/5 — Very creative writing tool!

*2011-06-09, version 1.1*

This is the app that brings many funs in writing. My kid loves it! You can create a hand-writing style letter, and send it to friends. That's much expressive than typing text with predefined fonts.

### 5/5 — Great!

*2011-05-10, version 1.1*

Great app! Simple to use once you get the hang of it.

### 4/5 — Works for me...

*2013-03-02, version 1.3*

... Works because I find I am using it quite a bit for fast note taking. 1. I keep a stylus with me. Makes it easier to use on the iPhone. 2. It gets a 4 because you can't keep the writing fm running off the right side of the page. Also, when you write, say, 4 pages and email them, it doesn't consolidate them into one page. You receive, we'll, 4 little pages. 5. In all, while not perfect it is a must have app for me, a person who is doing lots of field work.
