It doesn’t really have anything that stands out from other competitors. There are very minimal text options, I need to upgrade in order to extract audio, reverse a clips, or use an overlay track. Now it’s a complicated and fairly expensive tool. Immediately uninstalled until years of use. ### 1/5 — Sneaky UI Steals Your Money *2026-08-15* Do not sign up for the 7-day “free” trial annial subscription of their video editor if you only wish to test it out in the free trial. I had canceled it in my apple account days before it had ended, yet I was still charged. This was because it sneakily signs you up for TWO subscriptions: The Movavi Video Editor and the Movavi Effects (which I did not choose.) Both were linked to my account to auto charge, and I realized too late, as I was already charged before the free trial even ended, and AFTER I had canceled. Upon my initial subscription the UI made it seem as if I was agreeing to a normal 7 day trial that I could cancel before it ended to keep my money, and said nothing suggesteing otherwise. Be careful guys. **Developer response:** Hello! Sorry to hear that! Movavi Effects is a separate subscription for an effects library that is offered when purchasing the main subscription. All additional options are shown before purchase, and users can choose whether to add them. To manage your subscriptions, please check all active subscriptions in your Apple account settings – you can cancel each one separately there. I keep loosing my work on both versions it’s literally not worth the money at all. So, I needed to by and different one. Both were canceled last month, but turns out they’re not. Прошлая версия намного была проще и лучше . И изменения не «чуть-чуть» а конкретные в этой.?Всё что было отлично стало ужасно. Как вернуть прошлую версию на телефон ?!?? ### 1/5 — Charges *2025-12-31, version 5.3* Gave me an additional false charge of $53 when I only purchased the $20 one month charge(ended up paying $75). Basically no way to resolve it, and support center is the worst I have ever come across. ### 1/5 — Unexpected Charges *2025-11-22, version 5.1* I got Movavi for my storytelling class and immediately regretted spending $20.90 on October 15, 2025. I couldn’t even get the program to open, so I cancelled my 1 month membership right away. Despite cancelling, Movavi charged me again on October 22nd for $49.95 for no reason. I have no idea why I was billed after cancellation. Then today, November 22nd, I was hit with yet another charge for $26.70. I’ve tried multiple times to access the refund page, but it conveniently refuses to work every time I try to use it. At this point, I’m planning to take this to my bank and dispute every charge. This has been one of the most frustrating subscription experiences I’ve ever had. I have been retired for a little over a year now and I have missed being able to create Great videos with the Movavi software so I’m very happy to have found it again online and I’ve signed up for another year of successfully engagement with Movavi.
