## Newest reviews (1 of 18)

### 3/5 — No Labarre track info

*2023-07-12*

No Labarre track information.

**Developer response:** Dear hattrickman1489, thank you for taking the time share your review with us. We are hoping to expand the application to include Labarre Rd, but Metairie Rd was intentionally chosen as the first crossing. We will share this information with the Parish. Safe travels!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Doesn't work

*2026-07-15*

The app has been down for over 2 weeks now. It's a waste of a download if the app doesn't do what it's intended to do.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-06-07*

Terrible app and it’s never accurate. Train is blocking tracks every time it says it’s open.

### 1/5 — Could be better

*2023-12-06*

This only shows Metarie road crossing but I need to know where the train is from labarre as well. You can’t move the map to show where the train is either so your stuck at one location where it crosses.

**Developer response:** PoppySeed16, thank you for taking the time give us feedback. We are hoping to expand, but Metairie Rd was intentionally chosen as the first crossing based on discussions with the Parish. A single location was chosen to see how well the app would perform, and we will share your concerns with the Parish. The map is immovable because there is nothing else to see other than this crossing. Based on this, would you consider reevaluating your rating? Thank you, and safe travels!

### 1/5 — Bad user experience

*2023-07-20*

One of the worst designed apps I’ve ever used. Does not conform to Apple’s standards and is confusing to use. Which is impressive given how limited the app is with only one rail track.

**Developer response:** Dear kybldmstr, thank you for your review. We apologize for your bad experience, could you possibly provide more information on our shortcomings so that we can address them in the future? Safe travels!

### 1/5 — Where’s the rest?

*2023-07-15*

No other crossings?

**Developer response:** Dear ReviewCrossings, thank you for taking the time to review the application. We are aware and hoping to add more crossings in the future, however this one crossing was intentionally chosen first. We will share your want for more crossings with the Parish. Safe travels!

### 2/5 — Train Tracking

*2023-11-26*

There are several more crossings that have similar effect on traffic on Metairie road. Tracking 1 out of all of the crossings is not that helpful.

**Developer response:** DandyDrDon, thank you for taking the time give us feedback. We are hoping to expand, but Metairie Rd was intentionally chosen as the first crossing. A single location was chosen to see how well the app would perform, and we will share your review with the Parish. Based on this, would you consider reevaluating your rating? Safe travels!

### 2/5 — One Track

*2023-07-14*

It’s useful. Thank you for creating it. It’s seems ridiculous that so much went into making an app for one spot of track, Metairie Road. LaBarre is just as busy. I’m assuming
it’s because Met Rd. is a State Highway if this was funded by the state? If not, the Old Metairie residents would love to know if LaBarre Rd will be added?

**Developer response:** Dear Nolabean, thank you for taking the time give us feedback. We are hoping to expand the application to include Labarre Rd, but Metairie Rd was intentionally chosen as the first crossing. A single location was chosen to see how well the app would perform. We did not intend to piecemeal your experience, but we are hoping, like you, to add it. We will share your review with the Parish. Safe travels!

### 3/5 — No notifications

*2025-06-14*

Do not get the notification anymore saying a train is heading either way I have reloaded the app. There’s no difference. Did they change it that you just have to keep looking at your app to see if the train is coming?

**Developer response:** Good afternoon Johneb18, I apologize for the late reply. I confirmed this morning that notifications are indeed working. Can you confirm that notifications are enabled within the app (bottom left notification logo) and in iOS settings. It actually will be easier if you uninstall and download the app, as the app will prompt you to enable notifications. Safe travels!

### 3/5 — Decent App

*2023-09-06*

App works well for when trains cross Metairie Road. I think you can get rid of the political logos at the bottom, no one cares about that. The camera is delayed by about a minute.

**Developer response:** Dear ryanbarthel, thank you for taking the time to review the application. We will share your feedback with Jefferson Parish. Wishing you safe travels!

### 3/5 — Can we get more?

*2023-07-15*

Will this expand to include Labare, Central, and Little Farms? If it does this will be a great help to many people.

**Developer response:** Dear Ewilson911, thank you so much for your review. We are hoping that all of these locations get added in the future. We will inform the Parish of your desire for these expansions! Safe travels!

## Most praised reviews (7 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Wonderful App

*2023-10-24*

So thankful for this! Super helpful on my daily commute to work!

**Developer response:** Dear anna4213, thank you very much for taking the time to share feedback. We really appreciate it, and we are happy that you are enjoying the app. Wishing you the best, and safe travels!

### 5/5 — Feature Request

*2023-07-15*

Can you please add the ability to zoom out on the map to see where the approaching trains are? It would be more helpful to know a train is coming in 10 min versus 1 min to better plan commutes. Thanks! Great job!

**Developer response:** Dear MKP- – , thank you so much for your review. We are simply making some educated guesses about where the train is, but we do not know for certain. The app should be giving you estimated times of around 2-8 minutes, depending on the speed of the train. However, there is only so much time we can get, based on splits, railyards, and train speeds. Thank you for the 5 Star review, we are glad you are enjoying the app, minus the shortcomings.

### 5/5 — Neat app for traveling in Metairie

*2023-05-22*

Like that there is a camera built in and notifications

**Developer response:** Dear NOLAswola321,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share feedback. We really appreciate it, and we are happy that you are enjoying the app and it's features.

Wishing you the best, and safe travels!

### 5/5 — WOW!

*2023-05-22*

SUPER helpful and the live cam feed is a nice touch!!!

**Developer response:** Dear xXz.z.z.Xx,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your review with us. We are glad to hear that you are enjoying the app.

Wishing you the best, and safe travels!

### 4/5 — Could be better

This only shows Metarie road crossing but I need to know where the train is from labarre as well. You can’t move the map to show where the train is either so your stuck at one location where it crosses.

### 4/5 — Please add other crossings throughout Old Metairie

*2023-07-15*

Finally

I live right over the tracks off Hollywood and figured there had to be an app that would enable an easier detour.

However when I looked at the iOS store no luck

Bravo..I hope you guys blow this thing up and continue to add more locations and app functionality. I’d like to add this to a notification feature where I’d just get a pop up if a train is passing. It would save tons of time and stress for so many people.

4 stars for no but if it works well I’ll change to 5 stars later

**Developer response:** Dear Vista1679, we appreciate the favorable review. There is a way to turn on/off notifications if you press the notification bell icon on the bottom left. If there is a cross through it, notifications are turned off, so press it to turn it back on. If you still aren't getting notifications, they may be disabled in your notification settings for the app. We hope this helps!

### 3/5 — Need Labarre track

*2023-07-14*

Great for the Metairie Road tracks but it does not include the Labarre crossing which is the one that impacts me on a daily basis.

**Developer response:** Dear Dorrington Dolly, thank you so much for your review. We are hoping to add Labarre in the future, but we wanted to tackle Metairie Rd first. Safe travels!
