### 4/5 — Hochwertig

*2016-05-12*

Mein Sohn ist involviert!

### 4/5 — Teacher Review: Good Little App

*2015-08-29, version 1.4*

This is an interesting programming app. I like the layout, graphics and price. We tried Hopscotch with a class, which was a disaster. This is much more straightforward, but could use some tweaks to make it easier to use with kids.

Some of the directions are confusing. With more detailed directions explaining cause and effect, this would be 5 stars for me. For example, why does the turtle need to change colors to achieve a goal? The app says that there is a problem that needs to be solved, but as a user it doesn't seem that way. Some of these details seem counterintuitive, but not so much that I wouldn't try this with a group of kids.

This is definitely worth evaluating!

### 4/5 — Great app

*2015-03-15, version 1.3.2*

Been looking for something to help teach my 8 year old son how to program for a while. This app is almost perfect for the job. Agree with some of the other reviewers comments, in particular with the comment about the objectives. I haven't played it enough and there maybe an easy way to re-read the objective of each level, but I haven't found it yet. This and a few other minor issues mean I still need to help my son to complete the objectives sometimes, but what else are parents for?

Overall, more than happy with the app.

### 4/5 — Buy!!!

*2014-01-04, version 1.3.0*

Buy!!! Children & adults will enjoy a game format & enjoyable content with simple step instructions. Ch. 3 may be challenging for those new to programming concepts (me) but who wants an app you can finish in 2 hours anyway?

### 4/5 — Fun intro to programming

*2013-12-30, version 1.3.0*

Seems like it would be fun intro to programming for my 4yo. Little too hard now, but will start once she can read.

### 5/5 — Great programming tutor

*2013-09-15, version 1.2.3*

All I expected & quite advanced concepts - subroutines supported etc. Some competition aspect would be great - maybe being able to compete with someone else's turtle somehow. Quite a leap to make that happen I know. I'm happy with the app though, will take my kid a while to get to grips with all the concepts. Thanks.

### 4/5 — Nice but difficult

*2013-08-26, version 1.2.2*

The app is very nice, but not so easy for the little ones. Suits boys than girls.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2013-08-11, version 1.2.2*

This is a great implementation of the classic programming language LOGO for small kids. My 7 year old loves it! And I have fun playing with it as well.

I very highly recommend this app!

### 5/5 — Kade

*2013-05-02, version 1.2.2*

Love this app. Great for kids or adults that are interested in computer programming

### 5/5 — Gut für Einsteiger, aber nur auf Englisch

*2013-04-28*

### 5/5 — Great app

*2013-02-03, version 1.2.1*

I first used LOGO over 20 years ago when I first started out programming as a 5 yr old. It was a great way to learn procedures and how you make up a program. It was also great for developing my maths skills.

This app is much friendlier than the version I used but is just as powerful. There's no need to type in the basic commands, they are all available in the menu but you can customise each one in basic and advanced settings.

The tutorials seem to get difficult quite fast but I was trying it out on my 4 years old, and older child might not find it as bad.

This is a great app, well worth the money!

### 1/5 — Buggy

*2016-11-16, version 1.4.2*

Won't even open. Was looking forward to this game for our kids but can't even play it.

### 1/5 — No response on reported bugs

*2013-02-03, version 1.2.1*

There are bugs and the app support is not responsive. Do not buy

### 2/5 — Brilliant, aber dreister Preis für so wenig!

*2016-10-27*

Wirklich schade!

### 2/5 — iOS 8 has lot of issues

*2014-10-01, version 1.3.2*

Hi there,

this was a good game but has so many issues on iOS 8. App freezes with icons disappearing or completely missing. I hope someone is looking into fixing it.

### 2/5 — Instructions were vague.

*2013-03-02, version 1.2.1*

Not clear on the final goal. Confusing. Too difficult for a young child.

### 2/5 — Buggy

*2012-05-06, version 1.2*

Fun and educational. However there are many bugs that make it unplayable after the first few levels

### 3/5 — Should be the perfect learning tool

*2020-05-10, version 1.5.2*

Like others, I was looking for the beauty of Turtle Graphics (without the bulk of Logo) and this looked like it. I so much wanted this to be a 5* application, but it is unfortunately far from that. The tutorials are very good, but exceptionally linear. If you don’t do exactly what the instructions tell you, it will not work. Worse; the instructions don’t tell you enough to complete the tasks and there is no indication of where you went wrong. The faults are many (the turtle doesn’t do what it’s told!) but it does look good. This will all cause disappointment for children and put them off learning a very useful life-skill. It’s a great shame as It would take so little effort to correct these faults. However, ’support’ are dismissive to the point that I was told I didn’t follow their instructions and therefore there wasn’t an issue with their software - if they actually listened, and played with their own creation, they could easily correct these errors.

### 3/5 — Good help is hard to find

*2013-08-31, version 1.2.2*

Agree with pizmo, help buttons referring to a real help page would be good.

I like programming games to relax and have fun with. I tried move the turtle based on others suggestion but haven't been able to get into it. I'll try a little more.

As far as kids go I couldn't see them getting into this without an actual programmer there to help. Kodable seems more in line with that.

I tried contacting the dev a few days ago but haven't heard back. I'm not sure how responsive they will be as a whole though. I think this app may be good for a little coding challenge but I'm not sure

I got through the challenges but that was all there was. They could be better written. There's a lot of interactive components to this app. You can play songs draw lines, but it leaves you alone at the end of the tutorials and doesn't propose some challenges for you to work out

### 3/5 — Pizmo

*2013-06-25, version 1.2.2*

We got this for my 7 year old to begin to develop an understanding of computer programming. The program has several graphically controlled command modules instead of typing code. At the beginning you are lead through a series of tutorials. Graphics and learning modules seem well developed. The individual program command modules are not described in the learning modules and can be very cryptic leading to a frustrating experience. Info buttons on each command module cold lead to a help page to describe the functions of each.

### 3/5 — Very Difficult!

*2013-02-24, version 1.2.1*

If you have a couple of average kiddos at or in pre K, this app is not for you. I had to take a few hours to go thru the tutorial and found it very challenging for me (42 YOA). I suppose it would be good for a high school or college kid trying to get their feet wet.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Wow

*2022-09-11, version 1.6.4*

Good job on creating this game

### 5/5 — I love it!!!

*2015-03-28, version 1.3.2*

Great app for kids!

### 5/5 — Glad I purchased it!

*2014-10-01, version 1.3.2*

Great app! My son loves it.

### 5/5 — Nice app to introduce kids to programming

*2014-09-13, version 1.3.2*

This app is a nice introduction to programming for kids. My son went through the tutorials and enjoyed them. It is simple yet engaging enough to keep him interested. It would nice for the developer to add more program examples that you can download (maybe they have done it already, I'd have to check...)

### 5/5 — Great :)

*2014-09-12, version 1.3.2*

Tnx for this awesome app :)

### 5/5 — Reminds me of my youth!

*2014-06-02, version 1.3.2*

My first encounter with computing was in the 1st grade in the early eighties where a used a program called Logo on an Apple IIe and would move a "turtle" just like this. Hope to inspire my little ones.

### 5/5 — Nice

*2014-05-02, version 1.3.2*

I like this just as much as doing Python Code!!!

### 5/5 — Loved the app

*2014-04-13, version 1.3.2*

Great first learning tool for my 10 year old. Not to hard not to easy. A good challenge. Would really like more 'exercises' at each stage to consolidate what has been learned. Turtle was engaging and fun. Thanks look forward to much more.

### 5/5 — Great teaching app

*2014-04-10, version 1.3.2*

This is a great teaching at four beginnings of all ages.

My grandchildren wrote their first cold is it.
I also have an elder in his 50s who wrote his first coat with it.

I highly recommend. +[(:-)

Note to programming staff:
List upgrade doesn't work for me I have no idea how to us import. Says I need some kind of parental ID?

### 5/5 — Einfach super

*2014-03-25*

Ich kenne die Programmiersprache noch als "Logo". Umsetzung, Grafik und die Übungen sind spitze. Auch für Programmierer ein spaßiger Zeitvertreib
