## What is MoveMap?

Years of runs scattered across every tracking app you've ever tried. MoveMap reads every GPS route from Apple Health - no extra logins - and draws your entire lifetime of workouts onto one map. Every run. Every ride. Every hike. All of it, on one screen.

YOUR MAP NEVER FORGETS

Grant Health access once and MoveMap imports up to ten years of GPS-bearing workouts: the neighborhood loop you ran in 2018, the century ride you'll never forget, last Tuesday's easy 5k. Every tracking app that writes to Apple Health works automatically - Apple Fitness, Garmin Connect, Strava, and more. Routes appear as color-coded polylines within seconds. No blank map, no waiting.

COVERAGE DASHBOARD

How far has your running life actually reached? Tap through to the Coverage dashboard: total kilometres logged, unique cities visited on foot, states and regions covered, longest single workout, highest elevation gained, earliest recorded route. Each tile is tappable for a filtered map view. This is what years of GPS data looks like when you can finally see all of it at once.

TIME SCRUB

Drag the timeline rail on the right edge of the map to scrub backward through your history. Watch routes appear in the order you ran them - the neighborhood loops from when you started, the destination races, the detours from two cities ago. A haptic tick marks every year you cross.

GHOST LAP

When you revisit a route you've run before, MoveMap quietly overlays your earliest matching attempt as a translucent ghost trail with a pace delta: "You ran this stretch three years ago. 42 seconds faster today." No notification. No leaderboard. Just a quiet reminder of how far you've come.

YEAR-IN-REVIEW

Export a year-in-review postcard: a 1080 x 1920 portrait of every route from the selected year drawn onto a single map, ready to save to your camera roll or share to Stories. Your running life as a piece of cartography.

PRIVATE BY DESIGN

No account. No analytics. No advertising. Your GPS routes are never shared with third parties. MoveMap reads from Apple Health and renders your personal map locally. Street coverage data is fetched from OpenStreetMap's public infrastructure - no personal data is transmitted in that request.

NO STREAKS. NO KUDOS. NO GOALS.

MoveMap does not record workouts, plan routes, or nag you about yesterday. There is no social graph, no leaderboard, no daily goal reminder. Use whatever tracking app you already use - MoveMap just reads what you've already run and shows you the whole picture.

MOVEMAP PRO

Unlock your full lifetime map, Coverage dashboard, Ghost Lap, time scrub, and year-in-review exports. Choose how you want to unlock:

- Monthly subscription - 7-day free trial included, then billed monthly
- Annual subscription - billed yearly, save vs Monthly
- Lifetime unlock - one-time purchase, no subscription, no renewals, restorable on any device signed into the same Apple ID

Prices in your local currency appear on the in-app paywall and on Apple's purchase confirmation sheet before you confirm. Subscriptions renew automatically; cancel anytime in iOS Settings > Subscriptions. The Lifetime unlock is a one-time purchase with no recurring charge.

Free users see the last 12 months of routes and can export one postcard per month. Subscribers and Lifetime owners see everything Apple Health has - up to ten years of GPS-bearing workouts.

Requires workouts in Apple Health. Works with any app that exports to Health.

### 5/5 — Feature packed

*2026-05-19*

Simple and neat way to see all your workouts around the city, country, or world. Tons of insights and stats when you start exploring.

**Developer response:** I really appreciate the kind words, and reviews like this make a real difference!. I'm working on more insights and stats, so if there's anything specific you'd like to see in a future update, my support email is always open.

### 3/5 — Good but can be better

*2026-05-14*

Nice concept. Took a chance and purchased lifetime. I like the way it plots you routes. Suggested improvements
-dont see the timeline scrub?
-no way to change from km to miles?
-latest data for me is from sep 2025? I know my health step tracks are current to today
-any way to select a route and it will tell you what date it's from?

**Developer response:** Thanks for taking a chance on Lifetime and writing this out - really helpful feedback.

Three of these are shipping in 1.3 (rolling out now, App Store within the week):

- km/mi toggle in Profile > Units
- Manual refresh button + Full Re-Sync in Profile to pull your latest Health data (your Sep 2025 cutoff should clear once you refresh)
- More visible year picker, so older history is one tap away

Tap-a-route for date isn't something we ship today. The map gets dense enough with overlapping routes that on a busy city, the "right" route would need to win against fifty others underneath it. Still on the wish list for a future update.

The timeline scrub is currently being reworked and will be released later this month.

Once 1.3 lands, I'd appreciate you giving it another look. Thanks again.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.8.0 — 2026-07-15

Your Year in Review is now grounded in the places you moved. Each recap places your routes over a faint map of your busiest area, with faster switching between years and round country flags for every place you explored.

Replays now show the date of each workout, with a choice between a clean 2D route view and a cinematic 3D flythrough.

Thanks for helping shape MoveMap.

### 1.7 — 2026-06-13

Achievements: Your map has been crossing milestones for years - now they count. Head to Stats > Achievements to see 46 badges earned from your workout history, from your first steps to around the world. Tap any locked badge to see how close you are.

Play Your Map: Tap the play button at the top of the map and watch every route you've ever recorded draw itself, in order. When it finishes, pan and zoom around the result.

We also made the app launch faster - your routes now appear together with the map - and fixed the Rate MoveMap button. Thanks for moving with us.

### 1.6.1 — 2026-06-03

New: share any workout as a route card. Plus cleaner routes, faster launches, and bug fixes.

### 1.6 — 2026-05-28

What's new in 1.6

Share any workout. Every run, walk, hike, and ride now has its own one-tap share card sized for Instagram Stories, with your route, distance, and pace in MoveMap's signature look.

Paused workouts draw correctly. Where the old version connected the start and end of a pause with a straight line through unrelated streets, those gaps are now clean breaks - on the lifetime map, year-in-review postcards, and share cards.

Opens at your location. Apple-Maps style: MoveMap now lands on the area around your last fix instead of the middle of the world.

Smarter Most-visited spots. Better detection of where each workout actually started, so the list reflects where you walked rather than where your GPS first locked.

Plus: faster launch on large libraries, cleaner country cards for countries with long official names, smoother behavior at large accessibility text sizes, and the "Added N new routes" toast no longer fires every launch.

### 1.5 — 2026-05-24

1.5.0 is bringing some improvements to MoveMap.

Streets coverage, rebuilt and opened up.
- Free for everyone with a 12-month view; Pro unlocks full history.
- Pick your home city by hand if auto-detect doesn't match where you actually run.

Elevation gain, fixed.
- After your first sync on 1.5, MoveMap recalculates elevation for every workout you've ever recorded in the background, no work from you. Your "Highest ascent" record will reflect reality now.

Tap your records.
- Longest streak, Biggest week, and Busiest month now drill into the workouts inside that range. Tap any one to see the route. Back returns you to the range, not the records list.

Workouts, not runs.
- Stats, records, and sync progress all now say "workouts" wherever the underlying number includes walks, hikes, and rides.

Smaller polish:
- Indoor workouts no longer inflate the import count.
- Filter and Year picker accuracy improvements.
