### 1/5 — Holds

*2024-01-10*

The way you guys holds peoples money is wrong. I have multiple times where I have a hold on my account, but then the hard-hit comes in to take care of that hold in at the same time the whole to drop. That’s how it should work. But you guys don’t drop the hold you wait 30 days and keep my account negative. No other banks does this. I’m in the process of getting a new checking account somewhere else and I will no longer be using your services. Plus you advertise a $2000 cash advance. 1500 a week there’s no way I should not be qualified for that. There’s a lot of things to complain about with your company. I hope you guys do things to improve.

**Developer response:** We apologize for the inconvenience you have experienced with authorized holds and can see that a member of our team has walked you through the process. Please email us at hello@movesfinancial.com and we would be happy to clarify any questions for you!

### 1/5 — Fee Trap

*2023-12-21*

Moves Business account has the potential to be a niche market for gig workers but once your money is in the account if you’re wanting to pay yourself to your personal account, they make it very difficult and charge significant fees and percentages. they do not offer ACH, which with most banks is free. The only way you can transfer is by instant transfer which comes with a significant percentage fee or take your money out at one of their fee, free ATMs, which you will have to drive around to find and the limits on the instant transfer, and the ATM withdrawals are low so you would have to make multiple trips to withdraw any significant amount of money from their account. The potential as a niche market is truly there for Moves, but they need better options to withdraw to personal accounts and get away from the fee trap business model that you see so many of these little prepaid cards try to do.

### 1/5 — Awful customer service and dispute department doesn’t exist

*2023-12-15*

I had filed a dispute as the hotel room I was staying in had bed bugs. I took pictures and videos of my bites and how gross my hotel room was and even had the department of health inspected the hotel after a review they did from my complaint to them and they failed the inspection twice!!! Moves sent me to visa to do disputes and it was awful. I never got my money back even after pages and pages of proof. Awful customer service. Don’t waste your time here just go with chime or anyone else

### 1/5 — Moves does nothing to resolve disputes

*2023-11-09*

I had a $75 hold for incidentals placed on my card over a week ago. Homewood suites then decided it was actually a fee and charged me for incidentals(I left the room in immaculate condition, and there was no reason for them to take this money from me at all. I realized they were charging this ‘fee’ while it was still pending, as I called the hotel while at the emergency vet from my dog just being hit by a car. I needed the money to help pay vet bills and was wondering when they were going to release it. It was then the liar at the front desk told me it was actually a non-fundable fee, not a home for incidentals. It was the same person who told me the day prior that it was indeed a hold for incidentals and I would have the hold released upon checking out. I immediately called the moves dispute team and told them the story. They said I would be unable to file a dispute until the charge went through. The minute the charge went through, I filed a dispute and was told I would be issued a provisional credit. Its over a week later and I have not received anything, no communication, not a thing. I was just informed I would not be issued a provisional credit either. No reason was given for this. Just ‘I’m sorry, have a nice day’ well this complete crap and I will no longer be dong business with either Homewood Suites or Moves Financial. I heavily recommend staying far away from this company.

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2023-10-24*

Almost everywhere you use the debit card, they put a $100 hold on your account. I spent less than $80 but had $500 held from me for several days from three merchants! After 5 days I still am waiting on $200. I called merchant and they said I had to call the bank. I did, was put on hold, then got a recorded message saying they couldn’t help me and hung up on me!!!! Worst customer service in my life. Also I got this acct for the stock program, which has not been available. For over a month, the app says coming soon and shows me earning stock, but every week those earnings disappear. When I click on Learn More, it only provides info about the referral program. Absolutely zero info on the stock program. SCAMMERS

**Developer response:** Hi there- thank you for reaching out! Could you please email our team at hello@movesfinancial.com and we would be more than happy to go through these issues with you. Also as an update, our stock rewards program will be fully launching tomorrow :)

### 4/5 — Tried It For Cash Advance

*2023-10-23*

I switched to this app for its Cash Advance feature. I just started depositing my gig payouts this month, and I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how quickly my cash advance allowance has grown. The only downside is that the service fee grows larger as the advance increases, but that isn’t a real problem if you don’t use the advance option frequently.

As far as improvements, the app could do a better job at reporting earnings and hours. I don’t use this feature heavily, but so far my reports every week have been incorrect. This could be annoying for people who really want to use this feature.

Lastly, it’d be awesome if there was a savings account or “money safe” to transfer funds to. I like to separate my expense and savings money from my spending money.

Overall, I’m enjoying the account. No real complaints over here.

**Developer response:** Hi there, thank you for your review and for the stars! If you could please email our team at hello@movesfinancial.com we would be more than happy to have our engineering team investigate the discrepancies you may be seeing in your reporting pages!

### 2/5 — realGig worker is not about stock it’s about properly letting us buy some money

*2023-10-14*

Reasons to I tried this- 1- Automatically totals up my income from the different contracts (helps prove it to my wife hahaha fee) 2- Advances 3- ATM access (equal to my experience with PayPal though) Reasons I’m disappointed and will use old bank overdraft and cash app borrowing - fees are too high, it is cheaper to hit an overdraft fee for my bigger expenses if I needed to clear them without zip quad paying. Fees are too high. Need to price in the worker to be of value. 1- no re borrow. re borrow is really important for gig / daily income because big bills are easy to predict but our month / demand isn’t! What’s re borrow ? A flow of partial pay back and partial new borrow amount being available. You NEED this to be a daily paid worker. Fix it and I’ll come back. Otherwise all my money is depositing to cash app till others compete with them for the benefit of workers , •••••••§ we will pass value as spending and as work if you superpower the value provided.

**Developer response:** Hey Jimmy, thanks for the reaching back out and for the feedback. We really appreciate it! Please feel free to email us at hello@movesfinancial.com and we would be more than happy to discuss this further.
