## What is Movie Mode?

Some moments deserve more than a place in your camera roll.

Home Movie brings them together. Start a movie for a family trip, a weekend, a new chapter, or everyday life. Record a scene, put your phone away, and come back for the next. Each new take becomes part of the same movie, ready to watch and share.

KEEP THE STORY GOING
Create separate movies for the things you want to remember. Add scenes over time and watch your story grow without piecing everything together afterward.

STAY IN THE MOMENT
A familiar camera experience keeps recording simple. Tap to focus, adjust exposure, and switch between available lenses. Use Smooth Zoom to set a start and end point for a gradual camera move.

BE PART OF THE STORY
Picture-in-Picture lets you record with the front and rear cameras together on compatible iPhones. Adjust the inset's size, position, and orientation for travel commentary, home tours, and everyday reactions.

MAKE IT FEEL LIKE YOU
Trim scenes and adjust light and color. Shape the image with exposure, shadows, highlights, and film effects, including grain, bloom, and halation. Record in Standard, or choose Apple Log on supported cameras for more flexibility when editing.

WATCH IT COME TOGETHER
Play your movie as one continuous story. Save a finished movie or an edited scene to Photos, or export a movie to Files and other destinations through the share sheet.

KEEP YOUR MEMORIES CLOSE
Your projects and original recordings stay on your iPhone. Create project backups in Files and restore them later. No account is required to record, edit, or watch your movies.

Start with one scene. Keep coming back.

Apple Log, Picture-in-Picture, camera switching, and available lenses depend on your iPhone and recording configuration. Back up projects outside the app to keep an additional copy of your footage.
