search that understands how you actually talk about films. Search
by mood, theme, decade, role, or any combination of them. Talk to
it. Tap a poster. Find the next thing to watch in seconds.

WHAT'S DIFFERENT

- Natural-language search. Type or speak a phrase the way you'd
  describe a film to a friend — "feel-good comedies from the
  nineties," "slow-burn psychological thrillers," "musicals with
  ensemble casts." CineSearch parses your intent and turns it
  into a structured query, with no boolean operators or filter
  checkboxes.

- Voice search, built in. Tap the mic and speak. Punctuation is
  added automatically. Great for hands-free browsing on the
  couch.

- A real AI pipeline. Behind every query, a stack of optional
  models — query expansion, hypothetical document embeddings
  (HyDE), reciprocal-rank fusion across lexical and semantic
  indexes, and a cross-encoder reranker — collaborate to surface
  the right results. You can toggle each step on or off and see
  exactly what changes.

- Search explainability. Every result page tells you what the
  parser extracted, which AI features ran, and how long each step
  took. No black box.

- Live typeahead suggestions. As you type, real-time title and
  theme matches appear in a clean dropdown so you can jump

CineSearch is an independent search and discovery tool. It does
not stream, download, play, or otherwise distribute any film,
and is not affiliated with any film studio, distributor, or
streaming service. Movie titles, plot summaries, cast lists, and
poster thumbnails shown in the app are sourced via the OMDb API
(omdbapi.com), a public movie database service that aggregates
IMDb data. All trademarks and rights in the films referenced
remain with their respective owners.
