It freezes constantly. I’m writing this while the app is frozen for the 10th time!! Every time we got to the Final Cut it froze…. You can’t skip the intro so we watched that 50 times! The app is not on any smart TV only mobile devices. 2. It barely works even when it does work. 3. To set up a game star account you basically have to hope that the confirmation email goes through or you’re also not going to get to play. 4. Since it is only on mobile devices you better know how to screen mirror well. And don’t bring it where there’s no wifi. And 5. If it’s not broke, don’t fix it. Just release a disc and send it to everyone who has tried to register with game star as a scene user. The app repeats questions constantly and has no option to skip or back out so you have to sit through the same question over and over until it decides to give you a new one. Also, expected more recent and current movies since this is the 2022 version. I don’t know why they stopped the disc when that was working just fine and people still have numerous ways to play a disc. Also, doesn’t work for android at all. You get a code to register your box/game to an account you have to make on this app and once it’s registered you can’t register it again. I’ll be returning the game and I just hope the next person isn’t screwed. I bought this game with the excitement that it’s newer movies, like hopefully more modern. First few questions we got checking out the app on my phone (only way to play l) and it was saving private ryan, ghost, and grease. ### 2/5 — No airplay *2023-09-04* The app itself is dated on function, only way to play on the tv is if you screen mirror…. Don’t want all my notifications up while playing! This app needs airplay, while turning this device into a remote for the tv screen. When you select ‘skip intro’ … the app freezes. So you close and re-open the app and are then forced to watch the intro video every time. I then selected ‘All Play’ and the app freezes again. Unfortunately the questions repeat themselves alot as well, which makes me think that it doesn’t keep track of the ‘question history’. It’s a big oversight that the devs didn’t add the option to Airplay it to smart tvs, but I’m comfortable playing it on a phone, tablet, or laptop. Heck, I’ve played plenty of games like Jackbox by hooking a laptop up to a tv anyway, so it’s not a dealbreaker. ### 4/5 — Scene it? Is back! *2022-08-13* I always loved playing this game growing up. I wish the game was available on smart TVs and not just phone and tablets, but I screen mirrored to my TV while playing and really enjoyed it! I hope since it is streaming that they make updates to the game and add more questions of types of questions to MyPlay or AllPlay as time goes on. I do not like how brief the MyPlay clips are and how the questions have almost nothing to do with the clip, but this was the first launch at bringing the game back. I look forward to what they do with the game in the future. ### 3/5 — It works *2024-09-11* This app is good for playing movie scene it, however I wish the game had more movie clips and questions that randomized. After playing a few times my friends I and memorized which clips went with each movie so over time it became really easy to guess correctly.
