I have followed advice from them to try to resolve but no luck. Since I want apps that can be used on both devices, this is no longer a good app for me ### 5/5 — Great for movie collectors *2026-05-21, version 10.1.0* I have tried quite a few apps for my movie collection of around 2000 movies and this is by far my favorite one. I love how easy it is to navigate and find a movie I wanna watch. You can even organize the movies and edit all the information however way you want to. You can even add a little section for movies on your wish list that you’re looking out for. Love it my only small problem is trying to move movies from the wish list to movies I have and having to re-edit everything. ### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for *2026-05-19, version 10.1.0* Amazing app and very easy to use! After CLZ trial I got frustrated what I have been missing. CLZ scans every movie, easy… MovieBuddy Pro scans 1% of movies, even BIG titles. You will have to manually enter every detail of every movie, and it takes days to upload a few movies, using multiple devices. This app is NOT serious and I have lost $10. Continually crashes and will no longer save scans. Wasted time and money scanning hundreds of dvds for nothing and now I can't scan the other half of my collection. Garbage app. I bought the pro version because I have a huge movie media collection and wanted to finally keep track of it. I like that I can export to a PDF list and also have the collection with me on the go when shopping for used or new media. It's ok but it has problems that need to be addressed. -You have to scan a little at a time because it frequently gets the wrong versions or a totally different movie and sometimes it says it didn't scan one that it did or vice versa. -It seems to default to new reboot versions of old movies I've had to go back and check multiple times which is frustrating if you're trying to scan hundreds of movies. Sometimes it puts other movies that just have the same word in the title and aren't even connected to the UPC that you scanned. -Trying to scan a series of movie sequels is tedious when it shouldn't be (eg: Friday the 13th 1-10) it mixes them up and you have to manually fix them. - Boxed sets are also annoying and it cannot find most of them, I had to manually add. It's been a lot more tedious than I expected and not even halfway through. This needs a hefty update to have more accurate results, a UPC is connected to a specific version so not sure why it's often so wrong. Wozu gibt es eine Möglichkeit, eine CSV Datei zu importieren, wenn die Film-Daten NICHT aus dem Internet geladen werden, wie z. B. die Cover, Informationen, Beschreibungen, Schauspieler…das ist doch das Prinzip einer Software zum Archivieren! Und wenn nicht mal diese Funktionen zur Verfügung stehen, ist diese App NUTZLOS!!! Und wer berechtigte Kritik löschen lässt, sollte hier seine schlechten Produkte nicht feilbieten dürfen - aber Apple verdient ja auch an schlechter Software! ### 1/5 — Don’t buy this if you want to log films *2025-08-10, version 9.8.2* DO NOT GET THIS APP. I spent ages building a list of 50 films because I’m trying to make a list of all the films I’ve seen. After i spent all that time manually typing every movie, I got hit with a paywall saying I had to pay them money to finish my list! What a pathetic scam of an app and an utter waste of time. Thanks!! ### 5/5 — Brilliant APP! *2026-06-19* I manage my massive catalog of REMUX movies, small file size movies, kids movies, shows and documentaries via Movie Buddy. I use tags, categories, loaning feature, wish-list etc to perfectly customise the app as per my requirements. And there are lot more features that I haven’t explored yet. Another fantastic feature is to generate reports in multiple ways and export them to Excel etc. Which is super useful for quick analytics or sharing my collection with friends. I was using Binnerup Consult app My Mohies for long time and loved it. But it got too expensive via hefty subscription fees. With one time payment Movie Buddy is excellent value but doesn’t not compromise on any key features. There is a learning curve.
