## What is Moviespaces?

Movies are better with people. MovieSpaces helps you find them.

Pick a real showing at a theater near you and get grouped with up to five other people going to the same one. Chat opens the moment you join, so you can plan seats, meet in the lobby, and decide where to go after the credits.

  MOVIE CREW
  • Pick a showing from theaters near you
  • Join a crew already forming, or start your own
  • Crews cap at six: big enough to feel like a night out, small enough that everyone talks
  • Mark when you've got your ticket so the crew knows who's locked in

  HOST A NIGHT
  • Open a screening at a theater to friends or anyone nearby
  • Throw a watch party at your place, a bar, or a rented room
  • RSVPs, group chat, directions, add to calendar, and an easy cost split
  • Keep it private with an invite code

  AFTER THE CREDITS
Everyone votes on what they're up for after (drinks, food, or the spoiler debrief) so the night has somewhere to go.

  COMMUNITY CLUBS
Genre and local clubs full of movie people. Chat, find your crowd, and start a crew in a tap.

  CINEMIND
A daily movie puzzle with streaks and club leaderboards. Four quick challenges, new every midnight.

  YOUR PROFILE
Your top three, your bottom three, films seen and crews joined, so your crew knows who they're watching with.

  SAFE BY DESIGN
Report Spaces and chat messages, and block anyone. Reports are reviewed, typically within 24 hours.

MovieSpaces doesn't sell tickets. Buy yours from the theater as usual. We just make sure you're not sitting alone.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-23

- A new look. MovieSpaces has a new app icon.
- "How was it?" A few hours after your movie starts, your Space checks in so you can tell everyone what you thought. It's the conversation on the walk back to the car, without the car.
- Edit your Top 3 and Bottom 3 anytime. Tap them on your profile to change your picks.
- Safer watch parties at home. Spaces hosted at your place are now invite-only by default, so your address isn't shown to strangers. You can still make one public.
- Updated social links. Find us as @moviespacestudios on Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.
- Bug fixes and polish.
