Once boxes are packed, the “in transit” status usually applies to EVERYTHING.. who moves one box at a time? Sharing across devices would have helped, since households have multiple people. And sorting/filtering by status, not just rooms would be really useful. And the app kept crashing on me in the middle of entering things, making it nearly unusable. I found it useful for getting and staying organized early in the packing process, but abandoned it when moving day came. Was pretty much worthless for UNpacking, because there was too much to do. ### 3/5 — Useful but crashes constantly *2018-07-21* The features are really useful for keeping track of everything while packing, moving and unpacking, but the app crashes all the time which makes it really frustrating to use. ### 3/5 — Needs a few features. *2017-09-22, version 1.2.4* Our last move included almost 300 boxes and 2 to 3 people packing all the time. We perform this task on paper and it worked fine. The problem with doing it with this app is that you only have a single phone with a single inventory that cannot be shared. Everything has to be entered on that one device to have a single database. You could have multiple phones but there would be no way to combine those databases later except by merging the CSV files on the computer. This should allow a shared database or a way to import a CSV database from a computer. Automatic box numbering would also be a good feature. As would automatically moving to the next field. As it is you have to create a box name the box and then click a button to add items to the box and create each item to add to the box. It works but it's rather clumsy. Currently new boxes are added to the bottom of the list, so when you add a new box you first have to scroll to the bottom to make sure you're not adding a duplicate – there is no duplicate detection. It's a nice start, it still needs work ### 2/5 — Okay but doesn't export *2017-07-27* App itself seems to work well but like the other reviewer I can't export any data. Asked the developer for help but received no reply. Has lots of features, but you don't have to use them all. I rarely use the photo field, and only use packed & unpacked statuses. Personally, I like entering my own box numbers. Gives me flexibility to reuse boxes, start all boxes for the next move with 500, make book boxes start with 1000, or whatever! I would like to see the box number/title field searchable and not just the contents. Also, the number sort needs tweaking or any number starting with 1 (16, 150..) shows up before 2. So I use zeros. (001, 016..). And the room field use to give me a drop down menu listing previously entered rooms; it doesn't anymore, and I miss that. However, 3 moves later and I'm not currently moving but am still using this app to inventory boxes in storage! ### 4/5 — Great for moving *2015-11-11* Worked well to itemize all my boxes. Could use provision for furniture and un-boxed items. Also copy box function for same room would save time entering room name each time. ### 2/5 — Lacks features *2015-09-07, version 1.2.4* If box names are changed then the change is not reflected in the items list. Other obvious features are also missing like automatic box numbers, and photo of packed box. You also have to select the camera each time you want to include a photo. This should probably be the default option. Or have two buttons instead of 'include photo' followed by having to select the source. ### 2/5 — Seriously Flawed *2015-09-01, version 1.2.4* The is missing obvious features. There are no automatic box numbers. Rooms are entered in a simple text field. They should a pull down menu, user editable. Box status can only be changed one by one, requiring 3 touches each. In particular it should be possible to change the status to in-transit for all boxes at once. ### 4/5 — Great App!!! *2015-07-05* Love the searching ability to quickly find a packed item. This app will surely replace my hand written inventory list. Some improvements: 1. Family sharing to enable data "sync" between multiple devices 2. Ability to also import an exported file in the event that I have to replace my device ### 3/5 — Didn't get to use the app *2015-05-23, version 1.2.4* I bought this app hoping it was going to make my moving process easier. However, taking pictures for each item within a box is time consuming. I ended out not using the app and labeling each box instead. Good concept though for those who have plenty of time to prepare before moving day. ### 4/5 — Pretty good *2015-04-13, version 1.2.4* I am currently using this app as I pack boxes for a big move. It has made packing very easy. I number each box and then add the box/items to the app. I like the ability to search for a specific item and I like that I can create a PDF with all boxes, items, photos One feature that would be SO helpful to me is the ability to share information across multiple devices. That way, all of my family members are aware of where everything is packed. To get around this issue now, I'm just emailing the PDF file to everybody. If you added the ability to share across devices, I would definitely give 5 stars. ### 4/5 — An awesome app *2015-04-09, version 1.2.4* This app was instrumental in making my move much less stressful. Only thing I wish it did sometimes was auto-populate fields based on previously entered info so I didn't have to re type it every time. When I use the app to take a photo, the screen is black and takes black photos. How great: a packing database on my phone. I would know what was in each box and could find everything with ease. Then I started packing. Every action takes a torturous amount of time, meaning I spend longer packing. Then there are tempermental fields that won't allow the keyboard to pop up. Finally, just when I'd get on a roll, the app would crash and lose my last item. I have high hopes that the developer will address the problem, but probably not before my move. Let me explain. I loved this app when I first got it. But then I used it. I went happily along filling boxes and recording everthing I put in those boxes with pics and brief desriptions. I spent hours during my packing phase taking pics and entering item desriptions so as to make the unpacking process easier. But now, whenever I try to go into "Item" mode and do a search for an item, the app crashes. This means I CAN NOT do any searches for individual items - the same items I spent hours taking pictures of and writing descriptions for! VERY disappointing. I feel that I've had my time and my money stolen from me. I'm halfway through packing my house and this app has been a lifesaver. It is really user friendly and has saved me a lot of time in packing.
