Mowa teaches Polish as one course. Words, grammar and reading are three views of the same progression — not three apps in a trench coat. WHAT A DAY LOOKS LIKE Open Today and the app tells you where you are: your current unit, and what it lets you do ("You can order in a café"). Then one session: the word reviews that are due, the grammar set those words need, and new material only if the time you asked for allows it. One budget, honestly costed. THE COURSE • 18 units from your first words to B1. Each has a can-do goal, its own vocabulary, its grammar topics and a capstone passage to read when you finish it. • 104 grammar topics from A1 to C1, with 1,040 exercises. Lessons, pitfalls and explanations are written out in English, Russian and Ukrainian — not machine-translated. • 139 graded reading passages, recommended when you genuinely know enough of the words. Coverage is measured, not guessed. • 10,000 Polish lemmas with glosses, examples, inflection tables, aspect pairs and more than 15,000 recorded clips. BEYOND RECOGNITION • Listening-first reviews. Once a word is stable, you hear its sentence before you see it. • Sentence echo. We show the meaning, you type the Polish — graded on sense, not on a missing comma. • Fluency sprints. Sixty seconds over words you know well, scored against nothing but your own last run. All three sit outside your daily budget and never touch your review schedule. HOW IT DECIDES WHAT TO SHOW YOU • Spaced repetition (FSRS) schedules everything: words individually, and each grammar topic as a single card graded on the whole exercise set. • A two-minute check at the start finds your level and drops you into the right unit. It is an estimate, not an exam — practice keeps correcting it, and you can retake it any time. • Grammar is practised on words you already know, because a case ending on unknown vocabulary is noise. IF YOU ONLY CAME FOR THE WORDS If you came here to learn Polish words, nothing has been taken away. The frequency queue still runs from the most useful word to the ten-thousandth, you can still swipe through the dictionary and sort what you already know, and you can switch the grammar course out of your daily plan in Settings and use Mowa as a pure vocabulary trainer. There is a calendar, a widget for your Home Screen and a small celebration the first time you finish a session each day — and that is the whole of it. Placement now puts you in a starting unit and a grammar level, both revisable, and "Retake placement" in Settings re-runs it. ### 1.1 — 2026-08-15 GRAMMAR, A1 TO C1 A complete grammar course — 104 topics from the alphabet to C1, each one a short lesson followed by exercises that never hand you the answer. 1,040 exercises in total. Topics are scheduled by the same spaced-repetition engine as your vocabulary, so grammar comes back before it fades, and the lesson opens first on a topic you haven't read yet. Grammar lessons are fully voiced, and the whole course is translated into Russian, Ukrainian and Belarusian alongside the rest of the app. READING Passages now include exam-style prawda / fałsz tasks — the true/false format the state certification exam uses. WIDGET The word of the day now shows its part of speech.
