It does the job. I thought that it would schedule text messages to be sent at certain times. However, once you schedule a text, it does not send the text at all. It simply sets up a reminder to send the text. If I wanted a reminder for sending a text at a certain time, I could just place that in my reminders, or my scheduler as a 5-minute task. If I needed that, I could simply set a calendar reminder in the free, built-in app that exists on the iPhone. I understand (now) that due to the restrictions of the iPhone, apps are not allowed to send messages for you, however, I feel like this app leads its users on to believe this is the purpose of the app. ### 2/5 — Glitching and customer support link goes to out of date website. *2023-05-26, version 3.50* Was trying out Moxy with the intention of getting the lifetime subscription should it work out because i needed something to “brain dump” at the end of the night to remind me to message my clients in the future. The “save” message button doesn't work and ends up just staying at the dame screen. Its extremely frustrating and highly disappointing because i thought this would be THE app to help me! Can’t even get any customer support. I restarted the app again with the same issue. Couldn’t select a contact, change date/time fields, or enter a message. After a week of using this phone, nothing has me reconsidering my Galaxy over any Apple phone… including this app! I’ve been able to EASILY schedule and send texts on my Android, right from the native app. Just enter my contact, type my message, and select the time. Boom done! Don’t have to think abt it. I was hoping that Moxy would be able to emulate those features…NOT! It’s literally just a reminder app. U schedule the time to send it but when it’s time for the message to be delivered, ur pinged with an alert to approve the send. This is pointless!!! I like to send messages to clients that are several hours ahead of me. If I have to wake in the middle of the night to approve a send of a text that I scheduled for 3am, then this makes ZERO sense!!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — "Lifetime" Subscription stopped working *2025-09-27* Bought the "lifetime" subscription of the app for a hefty fee (i believe it was $55 at the time) as I liked everything it gave. One of the key features was scheduled group messages, something which I really needed. Unfortunately, my subscription stopped working for whatever odd reason despite being lifetime, and I can no longer do the scheduled group messages. It keeps having an ad pop up and asking me to subscribe if I want the feature. Already emailed the dev awhile ago about this issue but until now haven't even heard a "we received your issue and are working on it" email back. ### 1/5 — Horrible app. Cannot schedule text messages to be automatically sent. Cannot set it up to send daily, weekly, nor monthly. ### 1/5 — Does Not Automatically Send *2025-05-19, version 4.44* The one and only feature I was looking for was the ability to write a text message and then schedule it to send later (independent of the recipient’s device). For example, I would like to write a text at 4:00 AM, but I would like it to send later at 9:00 AM so I don’t disturb my clients if they are sleeping. The Dev fixed the issue I had *2025-09-30, version 4.48* Previously this was 1-star due to the fact that previously available features given only to subscribers were denied to me despite the fact that I was a lifetime subscriber. The dev fixed it so I'm making this 5-stars. Due to the way apple software works the message won't auto-send but just give you a notification with your pre-written message ready to send. Being a night owl, I often get ideas late at night that I want to share or work that I need to submit in the morning. Being able to schedule those messages in an organized way is wonderful. I bought moxy lifetime a few years ago, and lost it due to a hardware change. The founder replied within minutes to my email to support and restored my lifetime. I’m very impressed with this app ### 5/5 — Moxy Messenger is an incredible time saver *2024-01-05, version 4.01* I started using Moxy Messenger this fall and it has been a life saver IMO. I am a band director and had many folks I needed to communicate with regularly in preparation for a large Christmas concert. Information that I needed to share would pop in my head at all sorts of oddball times and the ability to document those thoughts and information and to set-up a scheduled text message was invaluable. Moxy Messenger is a huge sigh of relief, especially for those with TOO MUCH on their plates. I am very grateful for this App. There have been some glitches, but the developer has been responsive. I never do this, but I already bought the lifetime subscription to Moxy Messenger because I found the App to be so useful. ### 5/5 — Works well! *2023-02-17, version 3.50* I'm an Android person but switched to an iPhone since my whole family has iPhones. One of my favorite features of Android is the ability to schedule sending text messages. My friend lives in Hawaii, so I would use that feature to write him messages when I did not want to send the message immediately because it would be so early in Hawaii. Apple should have this feature within messages (they're always behind Android’s features), but since they don't, this app has been a great workaround. World's as promised - like a charm *2022-11-17, version 3.50* Often-times, I need to send a text, but for various reasons, it's either to late for the recipient to receive it, or its to early for me to send it. This solves the problem. All you do is put the name in - either type it, or get it from your address book, etc. Write it, and then set the 'timer', so to speak (I actually am writing this right after having used the app just for the above-mentioned purpose). Moxy gives you several options of how - too what - you're sending your correspondence to; text, email, (anti)'social media'. You can also send it to groups, as well, and if your upgrade (which is really paltry compared with the others I've seen, but I'll briefly talk about that in few moments). I don't use any of that last group but there are many (who unfortunately) do, so, it's there, if needed. I've only used it to fire of texts, because I know that's what the recipient will read first. As i mentioned earlier, the upgrade price is really not much - esp compared top the others. They all are pretty similar, and for me, I don't need many 'bells & whistles'. I need a delayed-sending app to do just that. When you upgrade, one feature that's nice because I do sometimes need to pass images on, is that capability. One last thought; this app offers a 'lifetime' membership - pay once, and NEVER (EVER!) again. It's currently only $14 and change. This is the kind of app I'll always need to use, so by paying this not excessively high amount, I'll end up saving A LOT more, because after that first year, the app's paid for itself. I only found this out today, so it's something I AM going to do. ### 5/5 — Love this app *2022-10-04, version 3.50* This app has been so useful for me. Agree with many of the reviews here as far as being able to schedule a txt late at night to go in the morning. Many time I lay in bed and remember things I need to send txt for. This app allows me to get those things off my mind so I can sleep better. The only thing I wish it was compatible with using on my Apple Watch.
