This solves all the problem. May be placed next to Clear Playlist command. Should be easy to implement, just a command sent to the server and will add more control over the queue. Just a thought. :) In general it is a very good app. I often use it and it proved to be a reliable tool for streaming with MPD. **Developer response:** Thank you for the kind words! Most applications out there (including non-free ones) only provide the remote control functionality. Спасибо, что поделились своим мнением. ### 1/5 — Ruined by ads *2024-12-15* This app used to be the best mpd client on iOS, but a recent update added obnoxious audio ads that interrupt songs. I understand that the developers need to make money but there are ways to do ads that do not interrupt the audio stream (especially not halfway through a song). This app is basically unusable now unless you are willing to pay for a subscription. **Developer response:** Thank you for your feedback. Waste of time. Please test your apps before publishing. **Developer response:** What version of MPD server you're trying to connect? Does the server require password? Thank you for your feedback! ### 2/5 — Was nice until they got greedy *2025-12-25* I have used this app back when it was free. I have a few mpd servers so the multi account was a really nice feature. I understand the need to make money and they moved to a pay app. Which was fine. I could control what I had set up. Now I see they have locked out all my setups accept the one I was using the most. So now if I want to control another server I had already setup in this app it is now locked out as a premium feature. You could have at least let people use it as it was setup That would have been nice. **Developer response:** Thank you for the feedback. We understand why this was frustrating. During the transition to the premium model, previously configured multi-server setups remained usable for some time, but that access was part of a temporary transition rather than a permanent unlock. We understand that losing access later could feel like something you already had was taken away, and we appreciate you sharing that perspective. ### 2/5 — Lacking many essential features *2022-05-27* Many features that are standard in other MPD clients are absent here, including the ability to add multiple soundtracks at the same time to the queue, as well as the ability to manage playlists. If these functionalities are present, they should not be so obfuscated that I haven’t found them yet. **Developer response:** We’re sorry to hear we haven’t met your expectations. Ive just installed it on my wife’s iphone but I can’t connect to the mpd server as usual. Yes I have disabled the firewall but no success…. ### 3/5 — Almost There *2025-07-14* So far it seems like almost everything works as expected, however I cannot get the local playback from an http stream to work. It connects fine but there’s no audio or option to choose output. So a great app for controlling mpd but I’ll need something else to listen to it **Developer response:** Hi, thanks for the review! But barely useable without «Premium». ### 3/5 — Having queue management problems *2024-07-17* I’ve started having queue problems, like I select “replace queue and play” but it doesn’t clear the queue. Sometimes I have to manually clear the queue before I can play something else. Was working fine a year ago, it unusable now. Not sure if problem is MPD Pilot or my MPD server. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Best MPD Client for the iOS/Mac Ecosystem *2026-04-03* I’ve tried every MPD client out there, from the terminal, to web-based, to cross-platform, to others written in swift and purportedly Apple-native. MPD Pilot is better than all of them for my use case of setting up an old iPad as a single-app controller. It has every feature I need, plus an excellent local playback feature, with experimental snapcast support. Free version works great but I’m also quite happy to support the dev for their excellent work! **Developer response:** Thank you very much for the review and support.
