My five year old loves it and I am now having to wrestle the iPad off her! She loves the challenge and wants to play it all the time, I'm pleasantly surprised at how well she can spell already. There is plenty to keep her going for a long time as you get such a lot of challenges in spell book one. It's also great that when you don't get them all right and go back in to try again that they are slightly different spellings so the challenge still remains. My students who struggle with spelling find this app engaging and will sit for ages listening really carefully to the word and really thinking about how the word is spelt so that they win the prizes. I would highly recommend. Great quality and easy to use. FAB! ### 5/5 — Thank you Mr Thorne! *2013-10-18, version 2.2* We (my two children and I) found this comic genius on you tube to help get to grips with phonics. This app is the icing on the cake. My two children are in competition to win the most treasures. What a lovely idea to collect prizes and put them in a museum. She isn't a fan of reading but is doing brilliantly at this. I thought the pieces for the museum were a bit odd but she loves them - showing that Mr Thorne knows best! However, my son has learning difficulties and worked really hard to earn the trophies. But unfortunately the update erased all of the hard-earned rewards that my son had achieved, especially the golden egg which he had worked and worked to unlock. Now he has nothing. It has a miner mistake but great overall. It encourages children to be more confident with their spelling.
