## What is Mr Turn?

From the developers who brought you Mr Word and Mr Draughts, Mr Turn is a brilliant implementation of the classic board game Othello.

Taking away all the unnecessary stuff, Mr Turn takes you straight into the game you love. There are no menus, not even a start button, you're just straight in.

Click the small "i" button to access options, which are 1 or 2 player, and Easy, Medium or Hard (1 player only).

You can switch between 1 and 2 player mode at any time and even change difficulty level in the middle of a game (great if you are struggling to beat Mr Turn).

The board begins in the traditional Othello start position. Player 1 is black so you must lay a black piece by tapping on the board. With each turn you must capture one or more pieces of the opposite colour. Capture pieces horizontally, vertically or diagonally by surrounding them on both ends of the line.

Playing against Mr Turn in 1 player mode, Easy level is perfect for beginners. Medium provides a challenge for most normal players, and Hard will defeat all but the best players.

Mr Turn is beautifully designed and very minimalist, in keeping with the Mr Word philosophy. Enjoy!

One problem with this game is that - as far as I can see, and I might be missing something - the opener, you who are black - is always at a disadvantage.

After each game an advertisement would appear which is fair enough they have to earn money. But this morning I got an announcement saying my iPad memory was full and that I couldn’t add photos or songs to my iPad. 

The announcement looked like an Apple announcement complete settings logo and in the style and asked me to clean my memory by going to settings and selecting “Clean Memory” but added at the bottom a link to clean memory. 

I have over a 178 gbs left and I have Norton’s 360 installed. 

This smacks of a con.

I’m trying to teach my 4 year old some classic board games, and I don’t happen to have a physical Othello board with me. Came here looking and was not disappointed!

What I worried with any free apps is the ads that may pop up from time to time, which is not only a huge distraction, but may damage a young mind’s ability to focus. Mr. Turn delivered a product that is ad free Minimalist design, utilizing the maximum screen real-estate.

Hard mode is not very hard, beat all three modes first time with ease and very little thought. Hope there are players out there better than the AI
