Also his calculations for his score is different than others; example would be making a simple word by adding one letter, I wouldn't always get both words and also don't receive if it is a double or triple letter but Mr Word always gets whatever is under each letter. I like the game, but BOTH sides need to be more equal. Thank u! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App needs help, unpredictable *2015-08-18, version 3.0* Please fix this paid app. Problem 1: App often ends my turn before I am finished. At first, I thought I was accidentally brushing my hand over "done". (Why is this in bottom right corner, anyway? Either bottom corner is easy to brush against.) BUT more recently, the app has ended my turn when my hand/finger was nowhere near "done". Problem 2: Other times, I actually do press "done" but the entire app closes. Problem 3: Most of time, both scores do not show. Problem 4: Then there are occasional suspect "words" (that are really prefixes, not even stand alone words in any English dictionary) played by Mr Word. That's a sampling of the problems with this app. ### 1/5 — NO INSTRUCTIONS *2013-01-11, version 2.1* How do you play this game? I can't find out how to play the game. The link for support goes to an unrelated web page. It is not scrabble so ho to play is a mystery to me. Would it be asking too much for a built in help file. This is total waste of my money ### 2/5 — Crash baby burn! *2015-08-23, version 3.0* Crashes like a monster truck! Would not even accept the word "fewer". Really? Unbelievable. I've been duped because I paid 😤 ### 2/5 — Five stars until update *2015-02-05, version 3.0* I absolutely adored this app until most recent update. Now my score doesn't always appear, it crashes and closes on its own accord and just doesn't have the stability that used to have. It's been a great companion for this insomniac. I certainly hope you can come up with a fix. ### 2/5 — Good game but keeps crashing since iOS 8 update *2014-10-17, version 3.0* Fun game, but has many bugs since the iOS 8 update. Player name is gone most of the time. The score blanks out during the game. And it often shuts down in the middle of a move. Worked great until the update. ### 3/5 — Good game *2015-11-23, version 3.1* I play this when I don't want to wait for online opponents in other games. The only disappointment is that the game does not show you totals before you submit your word. You have to figure it out yourself which is a pain when you are considering various options. ### 3/5 — Fun *2015-10-11, version 3.0* App still doesn't know common English words, so feels foreign. So there are worldwide weird plant names--but words in common usage in English are not acceptable. Constant crashing with Maverick and El Capitain. App crashes every time I play. I put my first word in and boom! I have to start over. The voice is annoying- I turned down the volume. ### 3/5 — Where the iOS 8 update? *2014-11-20, version 3.0* This was my favorite even with the weird dictionary (many common words not accepted)...But with the latest iOS update the app suffers frequent crashes. ### 3/5 — Almost great *2013-12-28, version 3.0* I turned off the obnoxious voice - who wants to be heckled and abused while trying to relax? And why is it a female voice when I am playing MR. Word? The app lost one star for not tallying the words for me before I play them, and one star for not recognizing words that are clearly words - like "fewer". This app is recognizing fewer and fewer legitimate words. Didn’t give it 5 stars because even at the easy level Mr. Word often makes these super short words that you can’t expand on easily. I regularly end up with all vowels or all consonants 5 or 6 times a game. The reason why I gave it four stars is because I would like to be able to see my score before I press done instead off being forced to keep adding scores. Also, I feel it would be a better game if it accepted the same words that Scrabble accepts To me it seems that it rejects even words that I'm confident are real words.
